Even tho Katara wasn't in this episode i liked it a lot. Zuko's mom is sooo nice but how does she end up with a guy like Ozai? I hope Zuko finds her....

    Ozai killed Azulon right?

Is it just me or is Zuko's fire bending randomly just got amazingly strong. I mean he was driven by anger there but he completely obilerated a rock with his firebdning. I used to think that firebending was weak because it could be simply blocked by earth, ice/water, or defelected using air. And that fire couldn't be used to block the user, it was??basically pointless. But now I know it can even go through rocks if strong enough.

Something else I thought about is that Prince Zuko and the Blue Spirit are like different halves of the same person. By using his firebending (which before was only used by the Prince) with his swords (only Blue Spirit used the swords) he put his two sides together.

    wow great point.

I think his powers got strong because he wants to prove that he's not weak and can possibly beat his sister

About Zuko's firebending getting suddenly stronger. I think that for once he wasn't fighting for himself, but for a child's freedom caused him to be stronger. My beliefs are that if you fight for someone you care about you will have more raw power than you might have thought possible.

I believe that azula did not hear azulon say he had to kill zuko but rather azula herself. she told her mom that the firelord was going to kill zuko so that she would protect zuko and the mom killed him and fled. Zuko was a child when this transpired but now he is starting to piece things together as are we. He realizes how his father ascended to the throne and he realizes he is the heir. he no longer wants to be given the throne. He is going to take it as did his father. I have a feeling this is how the war will end. he offered the olive branch to that earth kingdom family in the form of the dagger. Zuko wants to make it right. he realizes the war is bad. can't wait to see a rematch with him and azula. He is now the blue spirit and the prince two halves that make a whole.

Avatar is pretty deep, but I doubt that deep, THE STANDING AND I BELIVE MOST LIKELY THEROY IS Zuko's mom took his place and she got killed. The fire lord's death must have just been reason for Ozai to step up

I doubt it.?? Remember, the quote at the duck pond was that if a mother's babies are threatened, the mother FIGHTS back.?? If Zuko's mom took Zuko's place in death, that's not fighting.?? If she murdered Azulon for trying to get Zuko killed, that is fighting back.

I think she sacrificed her self in private. And Ozai found out and in anger he killed Azulon. He just needed an extra push to kill Azulon and killing his wife would be it. This is just a theory though.

It does seem like his Mom would sacrifice his life for his. I wondrer what she would think if she saw Ozai banish Zuko

This episode was so awesome! I don't even know where to start. Too many theories! I've heard several different opinions and speculations about what happened in thee whole "family feud" thing, and I think I've formed my own theory also: I'm waiting for more information. The episode was so open-ended (and this is why I love Avatar so much!). There's an endless number of possibilities, and considering it is the royal family we're talking about here...just remember what Iroh said, "Things in our family are not always what they seem."

Nonetheless, aside from the family feud, there was also some other awesome parts to it"

    Zuko: "Girls are crazy!"

Ursa:??"What is wrong with that child?"

Zuko: "Mom,??want to see??how Azula feeds ducks?" (Azula is so evil.)

Leader soldier guy: "Did you throw that egg?" Zuko: "No." Soldier: "Did you see who did?" Zuko: "No." Soldier: "It that your favorite word? Someone had to throw it!" Zuko: "Maybe a chicken flew over."??

And does anyone remember all the animals crossed with pigs? Pig Sheep, Pig Rooster, Pig Cow....as that boy said (was his name Lee?), at least no one can rob them. They have their own animal alarm system. But I digress....this must've been the best episode in season 2 so far. Two thumbs up!

Do you think there will be a Xuko Alone 2 coming in the third season or at the end of this one?

Yeah!!! Couldn't have said it better.?? My sentiments exactly.??

And when Zuko publicly declared himself as heir to the throne, he was also publicly calling his daddy out-- even though there was really no one of importance (politics-wise) to hear it.?? Although I have a feeling that, at some point, word will get back to Ozai (or at least Azula) that his outcast "traitor" son is declaring himself as the rightful heir in public.???? Ohhhhhh yeah, there's gonna be a firefight.?? Sometime.

Would Azulon accept Urza's life in place of Zuko's? He was trying to punish Ozai by forcing him to lose his firstborn like Iroh did...killing his wife wouldn't accomplish that. The murder theory seems sound to me...she wore a black cloak as to go unnoticed before doing it. But how did Ozai react? He??seemed to respect his father...could he have killed his wife for killing his father? Or maybe was she just executed as the murderer of the Fire Lord as the law would surely??demand? We don't know how much Ozai loved Urza, if at all.

Geez, try to word things more clearly next time.

You make a good point, though. The whole "execute Ozai's firstborn" thing came solely from Azula's mouth...and "Azula always lies". I think Zuko repeated that four times...hmm...

Furthermore, would Azulon really be so cruel as to do that to his son and grandson, regardless of Ozai's lack of respect for his elder brother? And wouldn't it be stupid to kill a potential heir to the throne, especially now that Iroh's son is dead? Succession is a very important concern??to royal families.

Wow another good idea... I guess my guess of what really happens is like a mixture of what everyone else has to say

I think the scene where Zuko was teaching Lee is a foreshadowing of things to come.?? Zuko seemed to enjoy teaching him, and the stuff he said about not thinking of the swords as separate weapons, but two different parts of the same whole reminded me of The Swamp.????Hmm... who's Zuko's complementary other half to make a "complete weapon?"??

Maybe Zuko's is his own complementary other half... the dual swords as part of the same whole representing Zuko's own duality. I think the shot of him holding the swords up to his face, and seeing the two sides of Zuko's face may have represented that.

But I agree, Zuko seemed like an excellent teacher! Patient, wise, and skilled... like Uncle.
