It's not all that crazy. It kinda reminds me of a book I read once called Crooked House. A 12-year-old girl poisoned her grandfather (killing him)??because she hated him, but she made it look like anyone living in the house but her could've done it. Azula looked younger than 12 though. It's??creepy to think a kid under 12 could kill someone...??

Wow! This episode was AMAZING. Very moving and all, but anyways... I know lots of people are saying that Zuko's mom killed the old Fire Lord, but...that just seems way OOC for her. Zuko's mom was loving and caring and blah blah blah. Even to protect Zuko I don't think she'd do that. Well, the way I see it there are 3 possibilities: a) Zuko's mom killed Azulan and then fled the Fire Nation. (it could of happened to protect Zuko I guess) b) Zuko's mom took the place as Zuko for the sacrifice (does explain Ozai's mood in that garden later) c) Ozai kills his dad and the mom is so upset that she leaves (rather unlikely if u ask me, the mom wouldn't leave Zuko alone like that) And, of course, there's always: d) Azula is a little devil-child and killed Azulan herself. (this is the craziest theory, seriously...)
What about... e) Once Zuko/Azula's Mom finds out about Ozai's punishment, she makes a deal with Azulon. She has??to leave and Zuko must later be banished/scarred. There is more than one way to lose a child than death. The only problem with that is that Azulon dies right after, so Ozai wouldn't have to keep that unless there's a record of it or something(even then he would now be firelord so couldn't he overthrow it).

I still don't think Azula did it though. I think that even a weakened old Fire Lord would be able to thwart a- what, 9 year old? I mean, he'd have to have some awesome firebending, even in his old age. I know she didn't fight him, but do u really think she could of pulled it off? Azulan would have to have guards or something to stop her. The only way Azula could of done it would be if Ozai aided her in the process.

Am I lecturing u? Sorry 'bout that...

I loved this episode. Zuko and his shining moment, though not by the villager's view. I am all the more??certain that Azula is such a 'witch'.??

I think the Zuko/Aang 'reunion' will come soon, because imagine if Aang travels near that region and they hear something about a fire prince in a village. With prejudice as it is in Earth Kingdom, it'll probably sound like Zuko was attacking the village, at least if those Earth Kingdom 'soldiers' spread the stories. I guess the question would come to if Aang would investigate it,??should they travel near the region.

Well...I think she'd rather die than have her son endure that torture. Ozai scarred Zuko just 'cause he's pure evil. It's apparant that he doesn't favor Zuko very much, after all.

Nah, you weren't lecturing me. She could've found a way to get past the??guards and??did it while he was asleep. Or what you said about Ozai helping.??And I wasn't saying she did, I was just saying that it would be creepy. That, and I wanted to bring up that book .

I think that to, but Azulon might not have agreed with her completely sacrificing herself. It's just an idea though.

Could someone please explain to me why when Zuko wakes up, Azula was holding his knife?

Do u think the old man noticed azula was more precious to ozai than zuko? (rhetorical) of course so he ordered the death of azula not zuko. but the little girl heard and killed him herself. the mother left to protect her daughter not zuko. she could be blamed but no one could talk about it. does jun remind anyone of zukos mom? iroh had a nice relationship with zuko's mom if this weren't nick i would be thinking scandal.

isn't it great how not all firebenders are bad and not all earthbenders are good. such a acurate portrayal of war for a children's show.

I think zuko will seek out his mother now not the avatar. he is going to take the throne though. by force not by impressing his father.

    I can see it now.

Jun: Zuko, my beloved son.*hugs him*

    Zuko:*WTF*

Jun does look sort-of like Zuko's mom, but wouldn't she age. Jun seemed younger than Zuko's mom did(but that could be a parent thing). Maybe distant relative or something.

Hope we see Zuko's mom. She was cool. And yeah they do have alot in common, but so do Aang and Zuko and Sokka and Zuko. That's what I like about Avatar it shows that everyone is different yet the same.

Hey I've been thinking. What if Azula and Ozai were both in on Azulon's death. Seems possible. And, don't bemad at me, but I felt a little pity for Ozai. When Zuko asked him where his mom went, Ozai just stood there and didn't respond, he seemed sad to me. But it was just that one moment. Other than that I hate him, Zuko had such faith that Ozai wouldn't kill him as Azula said. Ozai was such a kiss up too. I hate Ozai, but I felt a little sorry for him about his wife. But I still think that Azula and Ozai were both in on Azulon's sudden death. And, what do you think will happen to Azula. SHe's an important character even if she doesn't appear a lot, will she somehow recieve redemption and become good (unlikely) or is she simply iredeemable and will die like Zhao?

He's the Fire Lord's son. That woman's elder son and husband are away from home and may never return because of the Fire Lord's war. Their nation has suffered a century of war because of his direct ancestors.

I "liked" the story of captured Earth soldiers being used as cannon fodder...that's something that would actually happen.

Racism is like that. Remeber in the begining with Haru. Even though he helped the old guy the old guy still ratted him out.

But it was still dissapointing to watch. I dunno, I'm just like that.

I hope Zuko decides to look for his mother again. Unless Fire Lord Ozai already killed her. Maybe she ran away before he could... What about Azula?
