I also have to mention that Zuko's hair looks awesome too, and it kinda grew over his scar but not on it!? A little wierd, but that little kid bugged me to death, I swear. But of course I friggen hate little kids, despite the fact I was one myself. And they ALMOST showed Oazi's face... for the sake of pete people I can't handle this suspense anymore I swear

Zuko's mom killed FireLord Azulong, she was "banished". (hence her saying goodbye to Zuko late at night) It appears that what Azula overheard was true about "Zuko dieing". Maybe Zuko's father resents Zuko for his wife doing that to protect Zuko and Banishes Zuko to help/or even hurt him. (maybe help him find his mother). All great speculation.

i don't know if she was banished, because she was wearing a hood to be sneaky.

but yeah, it will be interesting to hear everyone's theories.

That was a wickedly awesome episode. There is just so much to love about it. Poor Zuko, anyone notice how sunkin in his cheeks were. Rumbly tummy too. I must admitt that I like the hair in this stage. Ok enough fluff. The backstory was just marvelous.Ozia and Azula are just two peas in a pod. So much angsty goodness. ^_^*

After watching that, I almost wonder to myself... at what point will Zuko be better than Azula.?? We've seen both fight and at this point I jsut think their unique styles don't mix very well. Zuko is full force attacker, and Azula seems to set up for the attack... you know what I mean? Maybe I should just stick my foot in mouth before I speculate too much. But In there own right they could probably take on ALMOST anyone save the really gifted individuals like Toph and stuff, but still. Ok I'm done I'm going outside for a while

This is what I love about Avatar, not just a bunch of stupid jokes, ITS SERIOUSLY GOOD because it digs so much deeper into everyones emotions. Like Zuko's mom dying for him, and Azula the wicked and disturbed.

I didn't mean banish in the sense that she got away with murder... I mean I'm sure her husband knew that it happened. Although Azula playing with Zuko's dagger draws an eerie look into her mind.

Can't wait to see what theories pan out??

Very true... just one thing, we don't know if Zuko's mom is really dead... I mean the dark cloak when she left Zuko alone does signify that she has left the Fire Nation. But when Azula is playing with the Dagger, she "could have" killed her own mother...

OK, you missed this...Azula obviously did NOT kill her own mother...she killed her own GRANDFATHER.?? She was fiddling with the KNIFE and when Zuko asks where mom is, she sincerely says she doesn't know and then smirks when saying "Oh, and Grandfather 'passed away' last night."?? Remember, she kept on saying that Ozai should be Fire Lord...well now she has her wish.

"What is wrong with that girl?" hahaha I love that quote. Did you see when she pushed Ty-Lee for being better than her, and when she put a flaming apple on Mai's head. God, what a sadistic kid.
This episode was awesome! I totally loved the weird western feel to it. It seems like Zuko's never worked a day in his life, can't even work a hammer. That stupid little kid "No, I hate you" errrrrrr! The fire swords were SO cool.
This episode explained a lot. Why Ozai is firelord insted of Iroh, how Iroh lost his son, what happened to Zuko and Azula's mom, the list goes on.
I also like the line "always playing with knives" it's so foreshadowing.
Hope Zuko finds his way back to Iroh now. Iroh rules! Azula drools!
