The omen's remake is coming out next month.

How come no one is raving about the new mirror-image event of both Zuko and Iroh being usurped by the younger sibling? Am I the only one who thinks there's something special about that?

If you're too lazy to go read the long version , the real short one is that Azulon punished Ozai, NOT by demanding that he sacrifice Zuko, but??rather the opposite:?? by making an official decree naming Zuko as IROH's heir.?? That would basically kick Ozai out of contention for the throne.?? Ozai then killed Azulon and destroyed the decree scroll before anybody outside the royal family had a chance to see it, and he then claimed that Azulon had named him as heir on his deathbed.?? However, he actually only destroyed a forged copy of the scroll; unbeknownst to him, his wife Ursa made a copy, switched them and stole the original.?? She then fled, mostly to protect the original scroll, which could be valuable to Zuko when he's grown (i.e. now).?? It would prove that Ozai should never have been on the throne in the first place.??

This is just a theory that I made up, but it explains a lot to me.?? Yes, it would mean:

    - Zuko's mom is still alive and in hiding somewhere, perhaps hoping and waiting for her grown son to come find her so she can give him the scroll and explain the truth.?? If she??fled when he was still a kid and is really laying low, she might not even know about all that has happened since she left.??

    - No, I don't think that Zuko will become Fire lord before Aang defeats Ozai.?? However, I have always been bothered by how Zuko or Iroh would take over once Ozai was defeated.?? The Fire Nation is near victory now.?? Even if that changes dramatically and they get pummeled when Aang wins, why would they want the "Traitor Son" or "Traitor Uncle" ruling over them??? However, If Zuko had proof that Ozai tricked and cheated his way to the throne...

Well I have a theroy when Azula and Zuko were spying on Ozai and Azulon after the flames went up and zuko ran away we see azula watching the conversation maybe Azulon said that Ozai will lose his position of ever becoming fire lord Azula probally killed him in his sleep cause if Ozai can't become fire lord that mean's that his side of the family can't become fire lord so she can't suceed to the throne.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? And maybe he also gave ozai a second punishment by making him give up his firstborn like Azula claimed so Ozai feels Iroh's pain of losing a child. Azula quickly told Zuko that Ozai was going to kill him and then Ursa came in to talk to Azula she somehow got Azula to spit out what's going on. Ursa tells zuko's her goodbyes?? and leaves i the robe to hide her face she took zuko's place in death but before that she told not to mention her name in the funeral so Zuko wouldn't get his feeling's hurt or something like that. that might also explain why Ozai was so sad at the pond scene. Ozai probally lied that Azulon's death wish was to make him his succeder.

Hi, I'm new to Tv.com forums, I just saw the Zuko Alone ep and wanted to comment on it.

First off, it was really good, I'm a fan of Zuko and I'm really glad to learn more about his life. I feel sorry for him, he had to grow up with his dad and Azula, no wonder he acts all tough, but at least he is honorable.

It's interesting, in the Avatar State, Zuko was kinda quick to believe Azula with what she had??said about his father wanting him back and everything, you would think him saying "Azula always lies" when he was little , he would think about what she said first, then what he used to say about her lying , I guess him hoping that his father actually wanted him to come home clouded his judgement, and he never thought about it, poor Zuko .

??Part of me wonders something, when we saw how Zuko got his scar in the episode "The Storm. I wonder if that maybe Zuko's dad thought, if he got scared for speaking out to his father, why shouldn't that happen to Zuko too...he speaks out, and should be burned, but not just for that, but maybe even for his wife leaving to protect him (or whatever had happened), so he basically found the perfect way to take his anger out on his own son and not be questioned about why, something he probably couldn't do just out of the blue ( like just all of a sudden, hurt Zuko...'cause people might question in a way his ruling, maybe.) Which meant that Azula probably lied about it, just to scare her brother just for the fun of it, and in a weird way I wonder if maybe Azula and her father both had something to do with the grandfather passing away together . I mean they both wanted the father to be next in line for the throne.

Twas a good episode, had some really...intresting moments. Now I like azula
even more, but then again I'm a bit twisted myself. =)

As far as what happened my theory is when the mother dragged azula off to
have their talk. The mother flipped out verified it as she seemed smart
enough, then she grabbed azula and went and offed the current firelord.
Using the dagger that was given to zuko she gave it to azula and then took
off after she did it. Either that or she gave herself to ozai's father and
said take me instead. Thus pissing off ozai more, as he didn't seem to be to
crazy about his own son back when his wife was still around. He likes power,
wants power. He didn't name his daughter after his father for nothing. He
did it trying to earn points. He spent his time training her personally
while leaving zuko to his wife.

Like iroh said "sometimes our family isn't always what it seems" or
something to that effect. Ozai wanted power, wanted to be firelord and found
a way to do it. If he REALLY cared about the fire nation he'd have been out
fighting like iroh burning down cities an what not. Instead he stayed at the
palace and sucked up and plotted and schemed.

I must say I'm mildly impressed.

I think that if Zuko's mom is still alive...she is living in the city of Ba Sing Sei...because when (if) she left..... Iroh was still there and he could have helped her in getting in the city to hide...
