I prefer they all make huge hug as a usually.

Make me sad and disappointment for avatar ending due to the creator just make katara and zuko made sacrifice for Aang cos kids alway love to see the hero got everything at the end (hmmm sound like brainwashing...)

Silly of me for thinking that Avatar more than just kids show..

It is more, otherwise why would we have endured this long for it

I too felt prehaps the best way was to HINT, strongly thou, at relationships with some of the characters. But then it would have driven us Crazy haha Aang and Katara did get together in a very beautiful and great ending (i loved that music), despite my grievances afterwards. And i still think they might have pulled Zutara off (though i knew they wouldnt) Spacrac if they'd done Zuko jsutice in Southern Raiders, and even with the small scenes in Ember and Finale. THey wouldnt have been together, but would have been strongly hinted

ONE question guys, maybe my copy missed it, BUT where was the scene of Zuko and Katar fighting/practices together against EB??????

That was when they were fighting The Melon Lord. When Toph made those training dummies to stop them.

WTF! are u scr*wing with me Spike haha

When they were all training in the finale, when Aang couldn't kill the melon training dummy that looked like Ozai. Remember?

Just a theory. The ember island play, comments by Jun, and other sarcastic remarks regarding a zutara relationship: ironic or symbolic??

It doesn't bother you though that Katara through the whole series had a maternal-like relationship with Aang?

Oh it did, just look at my Blog or other page. But i predicted DOBS and convo that was in Ember and that would be a steping stone to Character reevaluating her feelings. It does bother me alot because i dont think they fully satisfied this point in the Finale and it should have occured on screen. The kiss was out of place and Unnecessary to telling the Kataang story. It was VERY MUCH like the new Pride and Prejudice movie; normal version ended with them not kissing were as they put the kiss in "especially" for the US audience. WHy? well differnt needs i guess for showing a relationship. The same is true for Avatar. Thou appreciated more fully by its older audience it must also make it understandable for the younger Audience

I think it was just as ironic as Katara saying in "The Fortune Teller" "i hope he's going to be tall" about her future love interest.

They made fun of it because people believed it. Just like Jet's unclear death, the Great Divide being unwanted, etc.

PS. What in the world are you trying to suggest? The series has ended, there was no Zutara, it's all over but the die-hards saying they wish they're ship would have happened.

I don't know. I just take everything from a writer's stand point i guess. There is some reason that they set up all of that, and everyone keeps saying that there is gonna be more avatar. (don't hold my word, ive heard people everything from there's gonna be a mini-series, to they are restarting the show with a dif. avatar to there is gonna be a legit movie.)

No, they were being ironic. As in Katara said that and then the opposite happened. Irony.

It was a commentry (to me) and a plot device.

As a commentry it highlighted the fact that there had been little development from Katara to show or suggest her thinking romanticly about Aang.

As a plot point it made Aang think about his own feelings, admit them and question Katara's

yeah, i agree with that. It's most likely what the writer's had in mind.

Ouch, harsh. I'm not some crazy fanfic author i'm just making an anylasis based off of basic human behavior. I'm just saying for what the WRITER'S themselves set up the character to be, she came out very unrealistic.

Call me a cynic if you must, but I would have rather had Zuko realize feelings for Katara, then lose her to Aang, than be forced to choke down this Mai & Zuko relationship, at least then I could accept that at least there was a chance; I never really liked Mai, and the fact that she was part of a final pairing with Zuko leads me to believe I will probably never will...too bad, so sad.
