I agree. There is no substance for the Zuko Mai relationship. He really didn't show to much pain when he left her. It really didn't seem like he cared either way.

You are right speechless8582...completely 100% right, though I feel Zutara fans should be afforded some latitude, grief and anger do not resolve themselves overnight...as this thread is a clear testament to!

It's spelt June. Oh and if you like that dark depressing angsty stuff I highly recommend you watch a show called Angel.

did you know you are the second person to tell me that lol???? Is that that spinoff show of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

Really? I seriously think you'd like it, judging from your posts here. You don't need to watch Buffy to understand it either.

What exactly do you mean lose her to Aang? He never once showed any romantic interest in her, ever.

With regards to Zuko and Mai I feel that relationship is slipshod at best, and poorly thought out at worst; Zuko deserves someone who is capable of more than one or two feelings, and Mai deserves someone who is accepting of her rather morose personality.

yeah i don't understand why everyone keeps saying that. I'm a zutara fan, but he didn't lose her, cuz he never had her, because he never did anything about it.

I simply meant that I would like the show to have had Zuko manifest feelings for Katara, then lose her, as her actually ending up with him would be too much to hope for. Katara and Aang ending up together was probably inevitable, but had the writers handled it better it would have been more easily accepted by this Zutara supporter.

Perhaps not naive in select matters, but certainly in love. Anyone that thinks if Katara and Zuko had ended up together that Aang would have been crushed for the rest of his life needs to keep one thing in mind...HE IS 12 YEARS OLD!!

As I mentioned, by at least acknowledging the presence of something between Katara and Zuko, at least then fans would know the possibility had existed.

Agreed...Like I want to make it's clear...it's not about who end up with who..the point is the creators make not good flow progression with the relationship and the character. So if creators want to set up Aang and Katara so better to make some progressing for their relationship because it's not good to make the pairing just come out of no where...

And is it wise to make some progress relationship with zuko and katara with some hints ( poor...zutarian...for misleading ) which at the end just vanish...

And when creator want to set up Zuko and Mai so why they make progress relationship between Zuko and katara instead of Zuko and Mai... it's very nice and lovely when we can see how worry Zuko about Mai after BR or How Zuko immediately searching for Mai when he came to palace

That would be Zuko. And again, she's not always morose anymore. How much have you really been paying attention to this show?

You're treating Avatar as some sort of romance show, but it wasn't. The fact that it isn't a romance show proves that they wouldn't waste time for Zuko & Katara to get together and break up, while a world war is going on. And besides there wasn't enough time to fit that soap opera storyline in anyway.
