technically the creators could do a "prequel" about the first 12 years of Aang, about him traveling to meet Kuzon, Bumi and others, and his training, and that can be "book 4" about Aang

seasons 4 to 6 are supposed to be with new characters

i dont know about that because that means he only mastered airbending at that time, it wouldnt be very entertaing

the way i see it is that if the creators think they can get more money from making Book 4 they will do it. thats pretty much all there is too it. Most likely it will have something to do with rebuilding the air temples and what not. I can see episodes with a lot of flashbacks however.

To everybody who is wondering about a Book 4 there will be one because on the last episode aang doesn't find the Firelord in time because everyone knows about the invasion already. They saty in an underground cave and hide out but the eclipse ends and aang and his friends have to leave everyone behind and come back another day while the earthbenders ad watertribe get put in prison. (They told the kids to do that and come back soon) So the ending of the episode aang says "I know a safe place for us to stay, the Western Air Temple" Also Zuko confronts his father and says he will join the avatar and help aang defeat him. And it ends with Zuko in a hot air balloon following Appa.

There. So there has to be a season 4. BAM.

If katara and aanghave kids will they be air benders or waterbenders. Maybe both. which brings to mind why can't benders of one group learn to manipulate a different element (sort of like the avatar). is it genetic???? in regards to future episodes i believe that Zuko's uncle will finish teaching Aang fire bending (not to mention LIGHTING REDIRECTION anybody). Also at theWest air temple Aang will find his long lost tribe inhidingand figure out his avatar state problem.All this will be coupled with the afor mentioned relationship/ love traingle with Aand, Katara, and prince Zuko. Lastlyi am pretty sure with all thisneed-to-do on Aang's plate the big fight will go downinthe 4thbook however short it may be.PHEW!!!! happy thanksgivings everybody!!

One last thing??? WHAT ABOUT ((((SUKI))))and i bet the comet will come at the end of book 3 since the book is fire it would make sense

It's impossible for the Avatar not to have a fourth book. Here are the possible reasons.

Actually, the cycle starts with water, not air. So the cycle is water, earth, fire, then air. The show starts with the narration, which includes this cycle. Having a book for air would then be logical.

Next is just because the book is named after an element does not mean that that particular element is mastered during that time. So, even if Aang has mastered air does not mean there won't be a fourth book.

After that, there is also the fact that Aang hasn't mastered fire yet. The next eclipse is still too far away, which was probably stated during the time they discovered when the solar eclipse would be (inside that majestic library ^^). Without the solar eclipse, Aang would find it difficult to defeat Azula AND the Fire Lord (and all other Firebenders). In addition, by the end of the second part of Chapter 10, Zuko is seen to be flying towards them. This indicates a possibility that he would teach fire bending to Aang, but it isn't that likely. What's more likely is that he would be able to convince some of the people of the Fire Nation to join arms with them.

Another loose end is the lotus tile that was given by Sokka's master. This was clearly a way to gain more members for the resistance. Some of the most well-known members of the Fire Nation are members of this mysterious group. Their aim might not be clear, but their actions show that they do not agree with what the current Fire Lord is doing to their nation. Since the lotus tile is with them, then they will certainly meet with members of the group represented by the lotus. This, again, adds quantity to the resistance. Another thing, Airo is more likely to teach him fire bending, but it does not mean that this is a sure thing, since there are plenty of fire benders out there.

Finally, this show is clearly not an anime, though the influence is clearly noticeable. Usually, western animation finishes the story it starts, and usually with a good ending. All in all, there are too many loose ends, still excluding the current location of the Kiyoshi warriors (Suki, specifically). It is already gaining a lot of popularity, why end it then? Wouldn't it be more profitable to finish it? After all, that blood bending thing wasn't just introduced for nothing...^^
