    Spongebob is the better show for me. Avatar isn't exactly the kind of show I like to watch.

    Avatar and Danny Phantom are excellent new cartoons, but very overrated. I've seen cartoons/shows with many of those ideas.

    I say Spongebob, but they are two different genres of TV. Avatar is a fake-me out attempt at anime like Xiaolin Showdown and I like Avatar, but it isn't my favorite choice of American anime. Spongebob is more in the comical section like Family Guy and Fairly Oddparents, and I would choose to watch Spongebob. Spongebob is way more popular because they had a marathon for Spongebob, but I have yet to see an Avatar: The Last Airbender marathon.

    I hate when people do this, people do What is better _____ or _____ and this happens to be Avatar vs Spongebob and of course Spongebob is going to win because it's on the Spongebob threads and if this was on the Avatar threads Avatar would win. And if you want my opinion, I like Avatar better because 1. I like action shows 2. After every episode it follow the storyline and Spongebob dosen't. And Avatar is more popular because it won the best animation show of the year. Spongebob didn't even get nominated. The reason why Spongebob won The Kids Choice Awards because kids mostly voted.

    Avatar is better for me because the storyline is very good and the action; but SpongeBob is a great show because is really funny and it's comedy and SpongeBob has aired more years than Avatar. But I consider the two shows very good ones and the greatest shows on Nick.

    but Xiaolin Showdown is more poser towards anime than Avatar.

    Listen, I can understand if you like Avatar, but give up on this "Avatar is more popular". Sure, Avatar is quite popular, but SpongeBob is known to be the most popular show ever on Nick to this day, even surpassing Rugrats.
