The first thing I thought when I read the summary that it sounds mature, especially Freddie's subplot.
Sam having a blow up with her mom that's so bad she's staying at Carly's for a prolonged period of time? (Maybe this is what Dan meant by the sleepover.)
Also the Freddie subplot? That's really mature.
And Jane Lynch? I'm assuming this episode will be amazing. When does it air again?

The only problem I have with Jane Lynch playing Sam's Mum, is that she had brown hair in an earlier episode tilted 'iMust Have Locker 239.' Her head is also shaped differently. I still view this as a plot hole, and it will continue to annoy me for the rest of the show. Hopefully Gibby has some interaction with Sam's mum, but I wonder if Guppy will make another appearance or not. It will be interesting to see if Carly stands up to Jane Lynch's character or not. She should maybe, I don't know. |

Seeing Sam and her mom interacting also gives insight into Sam's character. From the promos we've seen, they have similar personalities, so we now know Sam is the way she is because of her mother. It could be because she's competing with Melanie for their mom's attention, or she believes it's how she learned to cope with her mom's personality. Look at how much you learn about Carly or Freddie from their interactions with Spence and Mrs. Benson, respectively. The perception of who we are is shaped by how we interact with the world and those around us.
