I take it you think Naruto is better simply because it has violence for the sake of violence? As forZuko being the most developed, he really isn't, he just went through the most changes. He was intended to be the character to go through the most changes from the start. As for the other characters, they've changed quite a bit as well. Aang is no longer the happy go lucky kid we saw come out of the iceberg. Little innocent Katara has now made a death threat and meant it. Sokka is still a wise guy but he's gone from believing he's useless to knowing he's a valuable asset to the gang. Toph used to be an abrasive girl who seemed to not care too much about anything, and now she admits that she does love her parents (as well as Sokka). Ty Lee, Mai, and them are side characters so they don't really count, except for the bit of background information we have about them. So yes, Avatar is a pretty good show that's intelligently written and isn't all about over-the-top violence as much as it's about the characters themselves. Naruto has nice action, but is it even as meticulous as the motion-captured martial arts action in Avatar? Didn't think so. They mostly leap impossible distances at each other and punch each other in the face. I do like Naruto, but Avatar is a more planned and better written show that was meant to have a beginning, a middle, and an end. |

Avatar plot is pretty straight forward. Destroy the Firelord and save the world. In Naruto there are many different goals such as destroying Akatsuki, Naruto becoming Hokage, Naruto saving Sasuke, Sasuke getting his revenge and so on. |
Kinda close, the overall goals are killing the bad guys, while the main one and the emo one do stuff.
But, Naruto has much slower pace, so they're allowed more sub-plots, wich means more characters and sagas, while avatar has the main plot and a few sub-plots.

We've got about 40 backstories that all come together in some way to the main plot. Does Avatar have that? |

Name one.
And while we're at it, show me an example of how Naruto has good action at all. Might as well give an example of plot, too.
Asking why a 14 year old can shoot lightning is silly when you watch a show where 13 year olds have demons in them and can clone themselves, and another 13 year old can control sand. You get the point.
People, don't respond to this thread. It's just Naruto fans trying to make themselves feel better by saying their show is superior while calling it 'a friendly debate' so the mods don't TOS them. No matter how logical or insulting your comments are, they'll never agree with you. Let it go.

Kill Fire Lord Ozai before summer. Aang mastering all 4 elements before summer. Zuko finding his destiny. Naruto's Plot: Sasuke's goals [yeah, im counting revenge and re-making the clan as one, since the second one will probably be skipped a little] Naruto becoming Hokage. Killing Aktsuki/Maadara/Pein Kinda close, the overall goals are killing the bad guys, while the main one and the emo one do stuff. |

OH and I forgot one thing. Can any of you explain how Bending is actually POSSIBLE. Oh I just fling my hands and I can cause A tornado, make a Tsunami, or split the ground in two. |
Oh I just do some glorified sign language and I can do the same! Can you explain how THAT is actually possible?

Adding to your statement Spacerac: And the villians don't stand by while the main hero powers up. Watch CoD, That Azula scene is probably 1 of the most realistic villian scences ever. |

Avatar characters don't waste time making those hand signs and calling their attacks.
