Rin (Firebender)
Jax appeared at her window, injured and freezing.

Jax?! What is he doing here?
She stopped to look at him for a moment, then he fainted.
She rushed outside and dragged him into the main room; he was covered in ice and snow.
What was he trying to do?
She dragged him closer to the fire to warm up.
Damnit???and I can???t use my firebending, either???
???Rin? What???s wrong???? Fang just walked in, hearing the door open.
He took one look at Jax and was speechless.
???Jax?! What happened???? He looked at Rin, who shook her head and looked away.
I don???t know. He just showed up at my bedroom window calling for help???
Fang felt his forehead. ???He doesn???t have a fever, he should be fine.???
???I needed to talk to you.??? He said, insistently.
Rin looked into the fire again.
What, a pep talk? Thanks, but you???ve caused more damage than you can repair.
"You know, Ive been trying to hold this in, but you???re trying my patience." He grabbed her by the shoulders and pinned her to the wall.
Rin was still silent, unable to speak.??
"What gives you the right to act this way?! Scorch was friends with all of us, a loyal one at that. He died protecting the one person he cared for more than anything in the world; And don???t go thinking you???re suffering the most. I had to watch him die, and realize I could do nothing about it. I know you???re hurt, Rin, but Scorch wouldn???t want you to mope about this. Remember him, but move on and find joy in life again."
He released her and started for the door.
Some pep talk, Fang. You think I should move on? How can I?! I???ve lost everything! My family, my home, my old life, and now Scorch is gone too! You have no idea how I feel! I feel like life isn???t worth it anymore!!
"Ill give you time to think about this. If you still life is still not worth living without him...then I???ll end that life myself."
Rin froze. She was about to burst into furious tears, and now Fang threatened to kill her.
He doesn???t even care???he just thinks I should die because I???m such a pain in the ass???maybe it???s because I???m just dead weight???I am, aren???t I? That???s why???
Rin ran to the door and stormed outside, tears streaming down her face. She ran as far as she possibly could. Farther, farther, until the city was behind her.
She stood on a ridge overlooking the North Pole, an icy tundra in front of her.
If Fang???s going to kill me, I should stay here. I???m sure Scorch would be happy if he could see everything he taught me???because I remember. Fang doesn???t want to remember all the sacrifices you made for me, and for everyone, but I do. I always will. Because he???s the only one I???ll ever love.
She took a deep breath and started to make a fireball. The warmth of the flame felt comforting in her hand, and she started to firebend more and more. She was still struggling, but it felt calming to remember the stances and motions Scorch taught her what felt like so long ago.
This is the only way I???ll ever feel close to him again. Firebending and???
She clawed at her necklace.
As the sun began to set, the wind kicked up, blowing ice and snow across the icy tundra. Rin scrambled into a nearby cave, where the previous owners had left a small cache of firewood. She lit the fire and pulled her jacket closer, the storm would probably last the night. As the sun set, she fell asleep.

Rin was on the beach again, but this time she wasn???t alone. In front of her stood the man in the red and silver cloak, his hood covering his face. He glanced back at her, and looked back out at the ocean.
Rin ran to him, and stood in front of him. She lowered his hood, and he looked away. It was Scorch.
Rin stood in front of him, her eyes wide.
???I knew it???why didn???t you say anything? I missed you so much!??? She hugged him.
???Because???it was too soon. I???m sorry.??? He hugged her back
???I???m just glad you???re safe.??? She was crying. But suddenly she started falling back, and the water took her. She could see the sun above the surface, but it slowly faded away.
She awoke with a jolt. The same men who tried to mug her the other day, the grotesque men in masks, they were just outside the cave.
???Well if it isn???t the blondie. Why don???t you come here and we???ll have some fun, you little freak???? The leader threatened. He held out his knife, and it glinted in the firelight.
Oh no???
She got into her firebending stance, but it was no good. They descended upon her and grabbed her wrists, and the leader held his knife to her neck.
There was nowhere to run.
