Scorch (Elite Fire Bender)

Rin grasped her necklace, "I never took it off. Just knowing you made it gave me a feeling that you were still with me..." Scorch grasped her and lifted her chin up. The expression on her face was that, not of fake love, but of true love.

"Don't believe her," warned a voice in Scorch's head. Not Pyro, but Kazu, "she doesn't love you. She could only care for you as a teacher. She always over reacts to deaths and other sad events. This is not love Scorch." The voice seemed to fade off and Rin was looking into Scorch's eyes, concerned as to why he hadn't said anything. Rin lifted her hand up and removed Scorch's hood, revealing his face. Her eyes widened and hugged him again. Scorch hugged her back and slowly stood up. She stood up with him on her tip toes, and kissed him. It was filled with passion, and this confused Scorch severly. Scorch didn't respond and Rin backed away and gave him a glare.

"Scorch, what's wrong?" she asked. Scorch didn't reply. "Scorch!" exclaimed Rin. Scorch diverted his eyes away from her and felt her hand come across his face, hard. "Answer me Scorch!" she demanded. Scorch just stood there silent. Rin turned his head and forced her to look at her. Something was wrong; his eyes said he loved her the same, but he wasn't showing it. "Scorch!" she exclaimed, "speak to me."

"Why are you doing this?" asked Scorch. Rin seemed confused by this question.

"I needed to get your attention," said Rin as she hugged him again, "I'm sorry."

"Not the slap," said Scorch, "the hugs and kissing. Why?" Rin backed away and looked into his eyes, shocked by it.

"Why am I doing this?" asked Rin. She could only repeat the question over and over in her head, unable to understand why he had asked it. "I love you Scorch," said Rin. "You know that." Scorch didn't answer and Rin's eyes swelled with tears before quickly hugging Scoch and not letting him go.

"Stop the charade," said Scorch. Rin backed away and was hurt, and slapped Scorch across the face as hard as she could.

"Listen to yourself," said Rin, "have you forgotten all we've been through? What would give you such an idea?" Scorch was hesitant to answer. How could he say that her brother told him that she didn't love her? She would never believe him. How could she? Her brother was her own family, why would he say such a thing.

"I saw you in the same bed room with Jax," Scorch replied.

"Scorch," said Rin, "he snuck in. Nothing has happened between me and him. And nothing ever will." Scorch looked at Rin, who was still sobbing. She looked back up at him, tears racing down her face. "What do I need to do to prove to you I love you?" She asked. Scorch was about to reply, but couldn't when Rin quickly placed her lips over his.

Reunited with Scorch.

???Why are you doing this???? Rin said in desperation. Scorch backed away, silent.

???Did Kazu do this to you?! What did he tell you?!???

Scorch looked away. ???He said that you only want me as your teacher. He said???your love is a lie. I???m so confused???I don???t know what to do.???

???That???s not true!??? Rin was exasperated. ???You mean more to me than anything in the world, and Kazu can???t change that. He never will???because I love you, and I always will. Nothing could ever change that.??? She walked over to him and took his hand. ???Please, trust me.??? She was still in tears, and couldn???t look at him. It was hard for her to see him that way???and she was still desperate to know why he didn???t just believe her.

???Scorch, please, you have to believe me, you???re hurting me worse by doing this than you could if you had struck me down where I stand!??? She couldn???t stop crying, and she fell to her knees.

Scorch was silent??? as if he was torn between believing Kazu and her. Maybe he was, and Rin was torn by his confusion.

Scorch (Elite Fire Bender)

Scorch was silent. He wanted to believe Rin, but was having trouble doing so. Why couldn't he believe her? Why was he taking her brother's word against her own???He was looking down at Rin and noticed she was still wearing the amulet. Scorch kneeled down next to her and lifted her chin up so his fiery red eyes could meet with her beautiful brown.

"Rin," began Scorch, "I'm sorry, I should've..." But he was cut short when he felt a large shock move through his body and he fell to the ground.

Scorch found himself in a dark, empty space, and Kazu was standing in front of him.

"I warned you Scorch," said Kazu, "I will not have you hurt Rin again. Even if it means hurting her myself." Scorch was able to move freely. He quickly ran over to him and kicked him in the jaw.

"You can't do it kid," said Kazu, his words echoing throughout the space. Scorch began to punch and kick him, only to hear Kazu repeat himself:

You can't do it kid

Give it up

She doesn't love you

She won't ever love you

You're a disappointment

You can't satisfy her

You won't fullfil her needs Scorch! Over and over again, Kazu repeated these phrases and Scorch only hit hard and faster. He eventually stopped moving and so did Scorch.

Syrak (With Ariel about to defend Kyoshi Island from the FN)

There were??five Fire Nation ships approaching the island one was on the oposite end of where Syrak and Ariel were the others were coming straight towards them heading for the village. Syrak?? looked at Ariel and said "I'll take these two out you head off the other one! Go!" Ariel quickly did so heading in the direction of the??single??ship only a few minutes away from landing, the other four were almost as close. Syrak began to walk towards them until he reached the water he then began to walk on the surface of the water as if it were solid land he then looked at the first ship that was in front of the others Syrak raised his right arm and thrust it forward, a large wave was sent towards the ship before it hit Syrak extended his fingers making the wave turn to ice as it hit the ship??he then elevated his arm causing the entire ship to rise well above sea level and left it there. As he looked towards the others he saw one had launched a fire ball towards the village Syrak launched himslef out of the water with a pillar of water until he was even with the fire ball he gathered all the water out of the air and sent it towards the fire ball both puting out the fire and sending it back onto the ship it had came from striking it on the deck.

The last two were a little ways behind the other two Syrak didn't want to wait for them to get closer to the island so he dropped back into the water and began to propel himself through the water with great speed once he had came in between the two ships he raised both of his hands sent two large spikes of Ice in either direction into the hules of the ship causing them to take on water. Syrak having heavily damged the ship returned to the island where he saw the four ships retreating (Having released the first ship from the ice) he then raced to where the last ship had gone and Ariel had confronted.

When he came to the area he was happy to she the ship was pulling away fromt the island but it seemed a few FN soldiers got of as Ariel was still fighting a few by time Syrak made it to her she had beaten them all but before he could comend her he saw she was about to kill one of the slightly concious soldiers with a blade of ice.

"No!" Syrak shouted sending his arm up he bent the water blade and her body away from the defensless soldier and sent her onto her back. "He's defeated there is no need to kill him."

"He's Fire Nation!"

"He's a person! I've been around long enough to know that killing doesn't solve anything and that no matter who the person is??killing them doesn't make anything better...it only makes it worse." Syrak nelt down and started to heal the FN soldiers.

Rin (Firebender)

Scorch fainted while in the cave.

???Scorch!??? Rin ran over to him, but he was knocked out cold. She held him in her arms, but he couldn???t be woken.

All this time, he???s been struggling. He was confused???and Kazu was the one behind it the whole time. Kazu is trying to stop Scorch because he thinks he???s hurting me???but really Kazu is the one hurting both of us. Scorch is the one I love, and Kazu can???t change that. What do I do?

???Why are you doing this to Scorch, Kazu?!??? Rin yelled. ???Stop it! You don???t know what you???re doing!???

???Really, I don???t???? Kazu???s voice echoed in Rin???s head.

Rin closed her eyes, and she was standing right in front of him.

???This is for your own good, Rin. I don???t want anyone to hurt you. It was my fault you were banished, and you were hurt because of that. I don???t want that to happen ever again. You can???t be with him, you???ve been through so much pain already.???

???No, Kazu. You???re wrong. I???m in love with him, and I can???t change that fact no matter what. Not even for you. Not for anyone else. I don???t care if I get hurt, because that always comes with love. Sometimes you get hurt???but I love him! I can???t just stop???it???s not that simple, Kazu. If you can???t understand that and only want to hurt us, then how can I call you my brother????

??????I???m doing you a favor, Rin. Don???t try to stop me.???

???NO! I will stop you! Stop hurting him! You???re hurting me!???

??????I???m hurting you???? Kazu was shocked.

???When you cause him pain, I feel it too. Please???stop.???

Then, he disappeared.

Rin opened her eyes.

??????we???ll stop Kazu, right? Because we???re in love???he can???t stop us, right????

Rin held him closer, and let sleep take her.

???Kazu Kanei has attempted to assassinate a high ranking Fire Nation officer as part of a coup de toi. He was neutralized quickly, but his sister is another matter.???

???I suggest she be banished. That is the surest way to make sure she won???t follow in her brother???s foolish mistake.???

???But why is mommy???s hand so cold? I???ll warm her up!??? Rin grasped her mother???s hand.

???Rin???I???m sorry???she???s gone.???

Rin started to cry, and hugged Kazu for comfort.

???Don???t leave me, okay???? Rin said. She was still crying.

???Okay.???

???Hey, look, it???s the blondie. What was her name, Rin or something???? A priestess girl said.

???She???s so weird, why doesn???t she talk to anyone???? The other girl said.

???I think something???s wrong with her. That???s why her hair looks so weird.???

???Yeah. Maybe she???s ???special.?????? Both girls snickered.

???I only worry about you because???I love you.???

That was the first time I could be really open with myself???I was never honest and I was quiet???but once I met Scorch, I could be myself again. I could laugh around him, and I loved him, and no one would see me as different for that.

I felt welcome.

But Kazu???he???s trying to stop all that.

Rin awoke suddenly. The fire was dying down, and Rin coaxed it up again with a ball of fire.

Scorch slowly opened his eyes, and blinked.

???What???happened???? Rin asked.

???Kazu tried to stop me when I was close to you???but for some reason, he stopped.??? He was startled when Rin threw her arms around him again, but he knew why.

???Don???t scare me like that.???

???You shouldn???t worry so much, Rin.??? He grinned. ???I beat death.???

Rin managed to smile a little. ???You know I only worry about you because I love you??????

Scorch kissed her on the cheek. ???I know.??? She hugged him again.

???I???m not going to let you go. Not for Kazu, not for anyone. Because I love you.??? Rin said.

???I know.??? Scorch said. ???I know??????

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew through the cavern. The icy plain was calm, that wind wasn???t natural. It was created by an airbender???

The only airbender Rin knew. It was Fang.

Ami (Waterbender)

I woke suddenly to find that Exodus was gone.

"Exodus!" I called in fear, no reply 'Exodus, why did you leave me?' I wondered

I walked out looking for Exodus only to come face to face with Sakai

"Sakai, what are you doing here?" I asked

"Your unborn??child, I want it dead!" he said stone serious

"What? Sakai, you can't do this to me, you can't make me lose my baby!"

"Yes I can!" he said "You are my fiance and I can do what I want with you... you're the one that got pregnant??by that stupid airbender"

"He's not stupid and he has a name, it's Fang!" I yelled in tears wishing I had Exodus there with me

"Really, well let's see how Fang will react when he finds out that you lost his baby"

He started towards me and I backed away in fear of my unborn child

Then I felt a sharp wind and knew it could only be one person, Fang, had he heard... by the way he held his sword to Sakai's throat, I would have guessed that he had.

"One more step and you lose your head" Fang growled

Scorch didn't know what was wrong, but he knew it was something bad to get Fang moving so fast. Fang had already lost them and Scorch didn't want to leave Rin behind.

"So, did I miss anything?" asked Scorch.

"Not too much," said Rin, "Ami got a new fiance`, Jax is here, and Ami is pregnant." She rushed the last thing quickly and Scorch stopped in mid air.

"Say what?" asked Scorch.

"Ami got a new fiance`," said Rin.

"Not that, the last part," said Scorch.

"Well, I'm not sure," said Rin, "but I think that Fang and Ami did it. Plus, Ami has been showing signs of pregnancy."

"No!" roared Pyro in Scorch's head, "Exodus has already bred with someone else. If her offspring make it into this world, my plan will be ruined!" Scorch shook his hand and squeezed his left hand, hearing Pyro roar in pain.

"Well, I might have to have a talk to Fang about doing that kind of stuff when you're around," said Scorch, "and why did he apologize to you?" Rin was hesitant to answer at first then sighed.

"Well, I was feeling really down," began Rin, "and Fang, he well... threatened to kill me." Scorch's eyes widened when he heard the word kill. He began to grunt in agony and fell to the ground, unable to move. Rin quickly dived down with him and quickly lifted him up. "Scorch, what's wrong?"

"Me and Fang are definantly going to have to talk," said Scorch as he stood up and looked in the sky, not seeing Fang. He sighed and looked at Rin, "Rin, you might want to step back." Rin's eyes widened and she shook her head.

"No," said Rin, "I don't want??you to use Pyro." Scorch looked at her.

"It's alright now Rin," said Scorch as he held out his hand and a small, blue Pyro began to hover in it. "I can control Pyro now." Scorch looked into the sky and saw it was growing dark and the wind began to pick up, "We don't have much time. I sense a storm coming, and we could never make it to the North Pole in time to avoid it...??Ever??been curious how it feels to ride on a dragon?" Rin's eyes showed deep concerned and she nodded.

"Alright," said Rin, "are you sure you can control??it?" Scorch nodded and??Rin backed away. Scorch began to glow and a red ring appeared around him and began to glow. The ring cleared and??Pyro appeared, his eyes closed. When they opened, instead of being golden like they usually were, they were red, just like Scorch's. Rin was hesitant at first until Pyro slowly walked towards her and slightly pushed on her with his snout and let out a soft growl. He jerked his neck onto the ground and looked at her. She was frozen from shock, and had no idea what to do.

"Come on Rin," said a voice that was mixed with Pyro's and Scorch's, "we don't have much time." He gently pushed on Rin again with the side of his head and his eyes met with hers. She smiled and nodded. She climbed onto the back of Pyro's neck and got close to his head, grabbing onto his two horns. He gently pushed off the ground and began to flap his wings hard, flying faster than ever towards the North Pole. (Rin, take it from here).

Scorch went Pyro to follow Exodus to find Ami.

At first, it was terrifying.

The height was not something was used to, and the harsh wind blowing in her face wasn???t pleasant, but through all that, flying was a lot of fun. Being surrounded by low clouds with snowflakes dropping out of the sky was something out of a dream.

Rin knew she had to focus and get out of wonderland. She followed her conscience and focused on finding Exodus on the ground to follow so they wouldn???t get lost.

As they zoomed overheard, it was quite a spectacle for the citizens of the North Pole. At first they thought it was a fire nation attack, but Scorch ducked into some clouds and followed Exodus further. Finally they arrived at the??mansion and Scorch turned back to himself, a little weary from the flight. As a firebender, the cold was something new.

They dashed into the mansion.

???Follow me!??? Exodus said, and lead the way to Ami???s chamber. They heard a feminine scream from behind the door, and Sakai was towered over Ami, in fear for her life. Fang quickly drew his sword and held it at Sakai???s neck, and Rin rushed over to help Ami up. They fled the room with Exodus.

???Oh Spirits???Ami, are you all right? What did he do to you???? Rin asked tenderly.

She was in delirious tears, holding her stomach. ???He???he was trying to???he wanted to take my child away from me???and he was about to?????? She could say no more.

???I knew it?????? Rin muttered under her breath. ???Are you okay? Did anything happen? As soon as Exodus?????? Rin was cut off by a hug from Ami.

???I don???t know if I can take this anymore???thanks, Rin?????? She sniffed again. Rin offered her a handkerchief, which Ami gladly accepted, and wiped away her tears. ???I???m glad you???re talking again???and Scorch???he???s alive????!??? She was still in shock.

???Yeah???apparently Pyro was his lifeline. He can control him now, too???but I???m still worried about him?????? Rin???s voice trailed off.

Fang emerged from the room with Scorch. ???I don???t think he???ll be able to walk straight for a while?????? Fang said, shaking out his hand.

???And he probably won???t be up and about for at least 12 hours after the beating he?????? Scorch was cut off by a hug from Ami.

???I???m so glad you???re alive???and thank you both???I???m sorry I got you wrapped into this.

???It???s no problem, Ami. We???re here for you because we???re your friends, and we look out for each other.??? Rin said. She hugged her. ???Right????

Fang helped her up and gave her a hug. Rin and Scorch hugged her as well, and they realized that they couldn???t be separated, even by death.

The team was back together.
