Rin (Firebender)

Fang just witnessed Scorch???s death at Sparky (Evray)???s hand.

Fang was enraged. All this time, Scorch was his loyal friend, he protected his friends even with his life on the line, even now.

And now???all that was left of his wishes was this necklace. How would that compensate for their, and most importantly Rin???s grief? How would he tell her that the one person she loved, the most important person in the world, was gone?

Meanwhile, Rin and Ami were on their way to Ba Sing Se.

Rin stopped suddenly after noticing two figures flying at each other, obviously in a life or death battle.

???What the hell?!??? She exclaimed.

???Rin, we can???t stop now, Rampage and his flunkies might catch us. We have to keep moving, Fang and Scorch will be fine.??? Ami reassured her.

???Yeah???but it looks really serious.???

???Hey, we???ve survived worse. Those two will win, easy.???

???Thanks, Ami.???

An hour or so later, Fang was flying overhead, but he had trouble staying in flight. Finally he fell from the sky and landed on the ground, face flat. He was alone, and beaten within an inch of his life.

???Fang!??? Ami said. She put his head on her lap after turning him over. ???What happened?! Where???s Scorch????

They stood there, shocked.

???You don???t mean?????? Ami said. ???No, you???re just joking???right? Please say this is just a joke.???

Fang struggled to stand. ???He says....sorry for breaking......his....promise.??? He weakly held out the necklace and dropped it around Rin???s neck. Then he blacked out.

???Fang!??? Ami cried. She pulled out her water bag and started to heal him, but it was too difficult to bend, she was still in shock.

Rin fell to her knees, and onto her hands. ???This can???t be happening,??? kept running through her head. She was too shocked to cry.

???Rin??????? Ami tried to touch her on the shoulder, but she slapped it away.

???Don???t touch me!??? She screamed. All of her self control was obviously gone, and she started to cry uncontrollably. Her mother, her father, Kazu, and now him???they had deserted Rin.

Scorch was gone.

? (dead corpse) (this is a one time character post)

It had began raining and it was already nightfall. The canyon was deserted long ago, and only the animals remained. A wolf creature came up to Scorch's disembodied hand and sniffed it. Orange lightning pulsed from it and shocked the animal. The animal scampered away. The hand began to pulse and an emensly large, red ring surrounded the area and the hand slowly rose into the air. Bright red light broke through the ground and surrounded the hand. Two gigantic wings broke through the light, along with a tail. Finally a head on top of a long neck broke out.

"Free at last!" exclaimed Pyro, "FREE AT LAST!" He roared through the canyon, the sound reaching the city of Ba-Sing-Sei. He jumped into the air and flew away, unable to hold in his furry he had for his mortal enemy... Exodus.

Rin (Firebender) Arrived in a village with Ami and Fang to find a place to stay the night.

???We need three rooms for the night, please.???

Ami held out the fee to the innkeeper, and he gave a key to each of them.

Rin hadn???t spoken all day, and Fang seemed to be recovering. Ami was having a hard time getting through to Rin, but she couldn???t blame her.

???Rin, do you want to help me pick up some stuff in town???? Ami asked.

She shook her head, and started off to her room.

??~ ~ ~

It???s always like this. Every time I get close to someone, they disappear forever.

Rin rested her head on her arms, perched on the open window. She had changed out of her dirty clothes into a white shift she kept. The warm breeze was relaxing.

The wind feels nice???

She pawed at the necklace.

It was his last wish, his last request. I feel empty???like there???s a huge hole in me???like when mom left, and dad too???and then Kazu???

She sighed and closed her eyes. The wind blew her hair.

When mom died, I cut my hair a little shorter???because it???s a sign of mourning as a priestess???maybe???I could???

She eyed her pack, knowing she had a small knife that she kept hidden.

That was from before I could bend???before he taught me anything, I just relied on myself for everything???

She reached for the knife and pulled a lock of her hair taut.

I???ll do it again???just this once.

She cut through it, and the blonde lock of hair fell to the floor.

Death is always around me. Maybe I just have bad luck.

She cut more of her hair off, but left her braids intact.

Mom used to tell me that there are two kinds of pain. Pain in your body, and pain in your heart. She told me that pain in your body is something that anyone can fix, but only love and support can fix pain in your heart.

I wish I had that, but I don???t think I ever will???

Never again.

She closed her eyes, too exhausted to sleep, and let her mind wander. The breeze through the open window was calming, but it could never soothe her pain.

Rin (Firebender)

Exodus took off at full speed to take Rin, Ami, and Fang to the north pole.

Rin couldn???t sleep. Exodus had taken them so far into the wilderness, and it was starting to feel colder. They must be close to the North Pole by now.

???What???s wrong with you, little firebender???? Exodus asked, but she didn't sound condesending. She sounded concerned.

Rin tried to say something, but she couldn???t speak.

I can???t talk anymore!

???You poor child???you???ve seen so much, haven???t you? So much you can???t speak.??? Exodus was soothing, like a mother. Someone Rin hadn???t seen in such a long time.

It???s been so hard for all of us???but I???m glad you???re here.

???I know. You should sleep, you???ve had such a long day.???

Okay. And thank you.

Rin fell into a dreamless sleep.??

The next morning, Ami was feeling sick.

???Rin, can you start a campfire? I need to boil some of this to make a pain reliever.??? She held out some herbs she found.

Rin tried to respond, but couldn???t. Instead, she laid some sticks out in a neat pile and tried to set fire to them with her bending, but she burnt herself. She tried again, with the same result. What was going on? Finally a small flame lit the sticks on fire.

???Rin,??what's wrong???Are you having trouble with your bending???? Fang asked, now awake as well.

Rin tried to say something, but she couldn???t when she tried. She had lost her voice.

She held onto the necklace again, and shook her head. It was no use.

Ami gave her a hug, which she freely accepted. ???It???s going to be okay, Rin. We???re here.??? Fang hugged her too. For once in a long time, Rin felt safe.

Scorch (Elite Fire Bender)

Scorch was in a strange swamp, not knowing where he was. He heard the many roars of animals as he moved through the jungle.

"What is this place?" asked Scorch to himself. A strange red orb circled around Scorch's head before zooming off into the distance. Scorch felt compelled to follow it, and followed it through the strange jungle, before it stopped and dived into the river. Scorch looked down and saw a man he had seen before... Kazu. He leaped from the river and took Scorch by the throat and lifted him into the air.

"I knew it," said Kazu, "you couldn't protect her. I warned you to stay away from her. And did you listen?" He threw Scorch onto the ground. "No! You got close to her and made her feel safe and secure. But look now!" He waved his hand into the air and a window opened, showing Rin unable to speak and with shorter hair. "You caused her pain Scorch! I hope you're satisfied." Scorch began to get enraged by this, and leaped up to his feet.

"Don't you ever talk to me like that!" exclaimed Scorch as he took a fire ball in his hand.

"Why, you don't like the truth?" asked Kazu.

"I gave my life for her. I could never love someone like I could her!" exclaimed Scorch.

"Right," said Kazu, "and yet, she's still in pain. And its all because of you!" Scorch tackled Kazu, and he disappeared into a vapor. Scorch got up and was almost at tears at this point. He ignored this pain, and continued onward. The jungle quickly changed from a green landscape to a desert wasteland. The wind that was calm quickly changed to a fierce sandstorm and blinded Scorch.

"Who dares disturb my sleep!?" roared a mysterious voice. The ground began to shake and Scorch felt a massive hand grasp his body and lift him into the air, over the sandstorm. Scorch was face to face with a gigantic serpant-like spirit. "Argh, you chakra stinks of Pyro."

"I am Scorch," said Scorch. "I must return to the mortal world. Please, I need your help."

"Bah," said the spirit, "I don't know how one would acomplish such a feat. I do know of one who does though..."

"Who?" asked Scorch, "please, I'm desperated."

"Fine," said the spirit, "only one spirit is old and wise enough to know how to do that... The spirit Koh."

"Where can I find this Koh?" asked Scorch.

"Just passed my domain," said the spirit, "in the mountains. But I warn you mortal, do not show any emotion." He threw Scorch back down to the ground and Scorch quickly came in contact with the sand. He was instantly blinded by the sand and tried to fly when he realized something:?? he couldn't fire bend. All he could do was leave the wasteland and get out of the storm. He quickly ran forward and was releaved when he opened his eyes and in front of him was a large, desolent mountain. He slowly made his way up the wall and came across a cave.

"This must be it," said Scorch. He took a few steps forward and felt someone trip him. He looked up and saw it was Kazu.

"I don't care if you get back to your world," said Kazu, "you still have a chance." He lifted Scorch up by his shirt colar and brought him so he was staring Kazu in the face. "Just stay away from Rin. She does NOT love you. And how could she? It is your family's fault she lost everything." Kazu disappeared and left Scorch in a dazed and confused state. He knew what Kazu said wasn't true, at least the part about his family.

"Whatever," said Scorch, "I'll worry about Rin later. For now, I just need to get out of here." He whipped all of the emotion off his face, and steadied his breathing, making sure he couldn't, no wouldn't, show any sign of emotion. He walked into the cave and heard something creeping around in the cave. He turned around and saw nothing, then turned around again and, somehow, Koh had gotten in front of him.

"Are you Koh?" asked Scorch calmly. Koh's face morphed into a familiar face: the face of his mother.

"That depends," said Koh, "who's asking?"

"A mortal in need of your wisdom," replied Scorch.

"No, I have already aided a mortal in this mortal year," said Koh, "now leave." Scorch clentched his fist and jumped up, grabbing Koh by his neck and pinning him on the ground.

"Now, you listen here," said Scorch, still emotionless, "I need to get back to the mortal world. You know something, now tell me." He lifted a chakram from his side and held it to Koh's throat.

"You are very much like Pyro," said Koh, "fine, I can see you wish to return to your world. Normally, this would be impossible, but you are a different story. Your mortal body is fused with an immortal spirit. An inorganic on at that too." Scorch let his grip loose and back off Koh.

"Continue," urged Scorch.

"You must find your gate back to the mortal world," said Koh. "And to do that, you must find Pyro's domain."

"Where is it?" asked Scorch again.

"Just passed these mountains," said Koh, "in the opposite direction of the wasteland." Scorch nodded and began to walk out of the cave.

"Thank you," said Scorch, "now I can get back to my only reason to go back to the mortal world." He left the cave and went around the mountain, instantly seeing Pyro's domain. In the distance was an emense volcano, spewing lava down the sides. Scorch quickly moved down Koh's mountain and walked a few steps towards the volcano, when he felt an odd sensation move through his body. Warm, enpowering, and familiar. He knew that the volcano was not an easy trip, so he tried again to fly, and was not disappointed. He stayed in the air for several moments, not feeling the slightest weakness. He quickly rushed towards the volcano and saw a large cave at the base of it. He landed and slowly proceeded inside.

"My, my, my," said Kazu'a voice, "you are the determined one." Scorch turned around and saw Kazu walking into the cave.

"You know," said Scorch, "after meeting you, I can NOT see what Rin saw in you as a brother. Perhaps her mourning over exagerated your persona."

"Silence," said Kazu, "RIN DOES NOT LOVE YOU! Get it memorized Scorch. I honestly don't want her to have to hurt you by rejecting you once and for all. And when she hurts others, she hurts herself. I will only say this again... STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER!" Scorch tackled Kazu, who just faded again. Scorch pounded his fists on the ground and quickly got up. He walked deeper into the cave and saw Pyro, but it wasn't Pyro. Instead of being brilliant ruby red, he was a cold Saphire. Scorch walked towards him, and he didn't moved; he was just, floating there. Scorch waved his hands, seeing if he could get his attention and finally bumped him, feeling himself get sucked inside of the massive dragon, blinded by a bright light.

(back in the mortal world)

Pyro was flying through the night sky. He has been doing this for nearly two full days, and finally began to come close to his prey: ??Exodus. He opend his mouth and charged a large ball of fire when his body became encased in orange lightning. He crash landed to the ground and his eyes burst open, as he snarled.

"How dare you!" exclaimed Pyro. "You dare to try and stop me? That game is long over Scorch, I beat you!"

"You are in my body!" exclaimed Scorch, "you will play under my rules. And now that I have this..." Pyro saw the blue part of himself in Scorch's hand. "You are mine. But do not worry... You will be treated as an honored guest, yes! Just as long as you remember a very important fact about your life... It's mine." Scorch clentched his hand and Pyro began to feel imense pain and Scorch laughed. Pyro's body was encased in a bright red light and evaporated, leaving a man in a red and silver cloak. Scorch walked through the woods, before he came across the campsite that his friends had made.

"Not yet," muttered Scorch, "its too soon." He leaned against a tree in the shadows, waiting for morning, keeping a close watch on Rin.

the next morning
------

Scorch woke up and looked down on the site, seeing Rin holding the necklace Scorch had given her in her hand. "At least he managed to do one thing right," muttered Scorch. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but Ami hugged her, and so did Fang. Scorch smiled as he kept a close eye over her, ready to follow her wherever she went.

Okay, ppl r confused on how this stuff has happened... allow me to explain

1. Pyro manifested to his full form using Scorch's hand as a gate if u would.
2. Scorch's human form was regenerating while Pyro took over, hence y he was more than a hand
3. The blue Pyro was half of his spirit (will be explained later) and Scorch took it, taking hold of Pyro and gaining control... FORCEFULLY.
4. Pyro is now FORCED to serve under Scorch and this means Scorch has full control of Pyro now (yay) and he must??"crush" the blue Pyro to get Pyro to settle down

Rin (Firebender)

Ami and Fang and Rin had stopped to rest before going to the North Pole.

Rin looked over her shoulder.????

Why do I feel like someone???s watching me?

She sighed, and looked away.

No one???s there, just ignore it. You???re being paranoid, Rin.

She still couldn???t speak, and her chi felt weaker. She tried to produce a flame in her palm, but only succeeded in making a small ember.

Damn???I can???t believe it. You taught me everything I know and it was all a waste???

She looked over at Fang and Ami. They were fast asleep.

I hope I didn???t wake them???

She thought something moved in the trees behind her, and turned around with a jolt.

Nothing was there.

She gave up, laid down on her bedroll, and closed her eyes, trying to sleep.

The sun was setting on the beach Rin stood on. Her hair and her old clothes were intact. She recognized her wooden sandals. It was a few months ago, right after she had met Scorch.

She turned around to face him, but he faded away. She ran to the spot where he was, but he was gone.

???These are my memories.??? She could speak, much to her surprise.

Suddenly, the scenery melted away, and she was in a gaudy blue kimono, which she could never forget. Scorch was carrying her, and she reached up to touch his face, but her hand only caught air.

The world went black and she fell to the ground at the Serpent???s Pass. Fang was standing nearby, and Scorch stood in front of her.

???Don???t leave me again!??? She reached for Scorch to hug him, but only fell.

She felt her head hit solid ground, and she realized she was back on her bed roll. It was only a dream. She reached for her necklace, and felt the small stone still in its place, the necklace draped around her neck.

As she closed her eyes again, she thought she faintly heard Scorch???s voice.

???I won???t leave you ever again. I promise.???

~ ~ ~

The next morning, they geared up for the North Pole. Ami had a spare parka for Rin to wear, though it was large and Rin was swimming in it with her small figure. It was warm, nonetheless.??

???Everything ready to go???? Ami asked.

???Yeah, everything???s all set. Are you having trouble carrying your bag, Rin???? Fang asked.

She shook her head.

Stop thinking about him. Just focus on getting to the North Pole. Ami and Fang need you now.

After an hour or two of walking, they finally came to a large hill overlooking an icy wasteland.

???That???s the pass we need to cross to get to the North Pole. You can see the wall from here.??? Ami pointed to the large monolith in the distance, casting a deep shadow on the blinding white of the ice.

It was going to be a long day, or week, or month. Crossing that icy tundra wouldn???t be fun, but it would be well worth it.

They started down the hill to the arctic desert.

Scorch (Elite Fire Bender)

Scorch was still hiding in the tree, watching Rin, thinking about Kazu's words. She suddenly looked around her shoulder and Scorch backed away.

"She's still as beautiful as ever". He thought, looking into her eyes. She looked away and Scorch moved again so she was in his view fully. He saw her make a small flame in her palm, more like an ember really. She looked over at Fang and Ami, before pausing. Scorch flinched and cracked a branch. Rin jolted around and Scorch hid behind the branch again. He saw her lie down and he kept an eye on her, feeling his hand spark.

"I think we are in need of a reminder,"??muttered Scorch. He squeezed his hand and he heard Pyro roar in his mind. Scorch smiled and layed down on the branch, keeping a steady eye on Rin. She fell asleep and began to toss and turn horribly. She woke up and then lied back down and closed her eyes.??He queitly moved down from his tree and brushed her hair gently, not wanting to wake her.

"I won't leave you ever again," said Scorch, "I promise." She began to turn again and he quickly flew back into the tree and watched her fall fast asleep.

--------next morning-----

Scorch woke to the sound of Fang and Ami moving around and quickly hid behind the branch again, keeping an eye on Rin.

"Still hard to wake I see," thought Scorch. Rin had begun to shift and woke up. The trio got ready to go and after Rin had been engulfed in the gigantic parka. Scorch let out a soft laugh at the sight. The shortly departed and Scorch hopped from branch to branch. He thought he would be fine, until the trees stopped suddenly. Bushes were the only cover for him now. He came in luck when icy canyons soon surrounded a large valley. They weren't looking and Scorch quickly rushed up to the top of the canyon.

Scorch felt a breeze brush against him and thought, "sh*t now my covers gonna get blown."??He waited for Fang to open his big mouth, but he didn't even flinch. They slowly proceeded into the icy tundra, Scorch keeping himself hidden by hidding behind large mounds of ice, following them and keeping on there tails, well, more like Rin's.

Jax: Earthbender and Broadswords Master

Jax left the temple and ran full speed up the mountain after his spirit. He kept running. Dark Jax created rock towers to block him.

Jax jumped down the side of a mountain, and landed in the pass. He looked around, and he saw nothing.

"Where are you?" Jax yelled. "I thought I wasn't powerful enough!"
He heard nothing.

"Well come and prove it!"
The spirit lunged at him, and punched him in the chest. Jax went flying back and hit a wall.
"Hello Jax," DJax said.
Jax drew his broadswords and walked forward.
"What are you planning now?" Jax asked. "Are you going to be a coward and take over another body?"

"My plans are none of your buisness," Dark Jax said.

"Well, why don't we fight?" Jax said.

"Under what conditions?" Dark Jax asked.

"If I win, you tell me your plans. If you win, you go about with your buisness."

"Not that you have much of a chance, and those conditions aren't very good, I'll play with you," he said.

Dark Jax charged at Jax and drop-kicked him. Jax rolled over and swung his swords at Dark Jax, who blocked them with his swords. Jax grunted as he felt the strength of his counterpart.

All he is, is my anger in my form. I can take him.

Jax tried to stab DJax, but missed. DJax dropped his swords, and started to smile, evilly.
"What?" Jax asked.
"I have new powers Jax, powers you could never imagine. If we joined forces again, I would forget all about my previous plans."
"I'd never join you," Jax replied.
"Well your loss," DJax said. Two long black whips came out of his swords, and he touched one to a small turtle duck on the ground.
"Jump up and down," Dark Jax said. As he said it, a small ball of energy went through the whip, and the turtle duck began to jump.
"I can control anything," DJax said.

Dark Jax took the whip away from the turtle duck, and told it to stop jumping. It stopped.
"I can even control it when I'm not touching it with the whip," he said.

Then he muttured a word. Jax couldn't hear it.
The turtle duck went back to his own buisness.

"Your loss," DJax said. He started to run.

Jax sat down.
"Since he is my spirit, maybe I can see what he is thinking," he said.
He tried to connect with the spirit.
And suddenly, he saw a vision. It was of Rin, Fang, Ami. Dark Jax was following them.

"I need to help them!" he yelled. He used his feet in the ground to see where they were. He bended into the ground, and shot back up in front of a tundra.

"They must be in the tundra," Jax said. He hesitated. "Should I really sacrifice myself for them?"
He looked back. Dark Jax was only near Ba-Sing-Se.
"Should I brave this tundra, for them?"
He thought for a second.
And he walked forward into the icy landscape, and started to search for Rin, Fang and Ami.

Spike (Archer)

I was in the cave with Bulldozer and Mayhem. I said, "Look, there it is, the Hami Crystal, in all it's glory, riches, and power!" Then the ground began to tremble. I turned around and a wall of the cave shattered revealing two men (Xen+Lee) on a BadgerMole (Rocky). I yelled, "Who are you?" One of the men said, "I am Lee and this is Xen. And that is my pet BadgerMole named Rocky." The man smiled.

I looked at Bulldozer and said, "Raise your bow." Bulldozer raised his bow and then I looked at Mayhem. I said, "Get out your sword and charge!" Mayhem ran at the two men and Lee immediately shot a boulder at Mayhem. Mayhem ducked it and said, "Ahhhh you are an Earth Bender." Xen leaped off of Rocky the BadgerMole and tried to punch Mayhem in the face. Mayhem ducked. WHIZ! Bulldozer shot an arrow at Xen (not vampdude's Xen, a different one) and it hit him in the leg. Xen fell to the floor and cried out in pain.

I looked up at the huge BadgerMole. I laughed and said, "Rocky, you are gonna make a nice carpet!" I shot numerous arrows at the BadgerMole and it yelped. Lee snuck up on me and grabbed an arrow out of my hand. He held the arrow up to my throat and he said, "Mayhem, Bulldozer. Don't come any closer or I will kill Spike!"

I heard a lot of commotion as a large Fire Nation troop, led by Liao (RedDeath), entered the cave. Liao looked at Lee who was holding an arrow to my throat. Liao said, "Who are you!" Lee replied, "I am Lee! Who are you?" Liao replied, "Shut up boy! I am in the Fire Nation as you can tell. This is my massive troop. And that man you are holding an arrow to is Spike, who is also in the Fire Nation. So, set him free or I will kill you and your friends!"

Lee threw me on to the floor and said, "You promised to let me go free." Liao laughed and said, "Men, fire!" Liao's troop began to shoot fireballs at Lee. Lee quickly darted and picked up Xen, who was still hurt and lying on the floor. Lee looked at Rocky the BadgerMole as tons of fireballs hit in to him. The BadgerMole fell to the ground and died, millions of flames covering his massive body.

Lee and Xen ran into a small hole in the cave wall. They then ran for safety. I stood up and looked at Liao. I said, "So, you are on the Fire Nation too. Well, thank you, but now leave me alone!" I walked over to the Hami Crystal. I said to Mayhem, "Here! Hold on to the Hami Crystal for me." Mayhem took the crystal and I took the Hami Crystal's parchment out of my pocket.

I read the parchment which said, "You may only capture a spirit if you are near that spirit." I yelled, "DAMMIT!" Bulldozer all of a sudden yelled to himself, "STOP IT! Who are you! Get out of my head!" I ran over to him and said, "The person in your head is Devasator, the War God. He takes the form of a large rhino. Fight it! Do not let him take control of you!"

Bulldozer yelled, "AHHHHH get out of my head! NO, I will not give you power. Bulldozer's eyes turned gray. Bulldozer started to grunt and yell. He was sweating everywhere. Then it was too hard to look at him, due to a bright light. The light then went away and I was staring into the face of Devastator! Devastator looked into my eyes and said, "Give me the Hami Crystal!"

Scorch (Elite Fire Bender)

Scorch was on the top of a nearby mound of ice, waiting for them to get going. Fang turned into Exodus and Pyro spoke in Scorch' head. "Exodus, I will get her!"

"I think not Pyro," said Scorch as he tapped over his heart, "I expect you will put your best effort forth to restrain yourself." Scorch heard Pyro snarl inside his head. Exodus rushed through the artic desert, almost leaving Scorch behind. He looked down at Rin and Ami, noticing that they weren't looking back at all. He was having trouble keeping up and took to the air, allowing himself to become engulfed in the clouds, but he was still able to see Exodus' form. She suddenly jumped over an edge. Scorch lowered himself and noticed??Exodus turned back into Fang. Scorch quickly landed on a nearby mound and noticed several people just below him; the didn't notice him. "Hmm, is this her uncle?" asked Scorch to himself.?? Ami began pointing at Fang and then moved??her hand??towards Rin, and the waterbenders took fighting positions again. Scorch took a flame in his hand, preparing to strike, and he noticed something odd:?? it was blue. Scorch didn't care about it, but then the waterbenders backed off. Scorch let the flame go out and the waterbenders traveled with the trio, taking them into the Water Tribe's main home. Scorch followed them, thinking about the flame.

"Perhaps this is from gaining control of Pyro," thought Scorch.

"No doubt about it," said Pyro. Scorch shook his head and continued following the trio. They finally reached the ice city, which was guarded by many water tribe soldiers.
