Any actor who has done an Oscar winning best picture (such as Dev Patel in Slumdog Millionaire) could make it into a great movie.

eh..... the sixth sense sucked... to me.... It wasnt that great of a movie i dont understand why people think it is so great..... i havent watch slumdog millionair so i dont know abut that......

i read the plot and it doesnt seems intresting so i dont know if sdm is that great or not.... Also just because a movie wins awards doesnt mean its a good movie...... There are allot of turds that people thought it was a great movie...

um are u sure u read the right plot? b/c there's another movie comeing out this year called avatar and it's about a plant or something.

Yeah, James Cameron's movie. But I think he/she was talking about the plot of Slumdog. I have no interest in seeing Slumdog anyway, so IDK about Patel's acting.

The entire cast will be announced in June complete with pictures via press release. Hopefully that includes more of the minor charaters like Pakku and Jet.

They a;ready got an Aang, Noah Ringer. I doubt Will Smith will get casted, they probably want european or asian actors for the rest of the roles.

I've had my heart set on Augustus Prew in particular, but the other guys are good choices too.

what nobody has touched on is the cinematography.

i hope this guy does a good job. i have always thought that the cinematography the used in the 2003 peter pan would be cool.

Bah I got low expectations with this movie, it may wind up crappy and everyone here is frikkin' complaining so much about different races of the actors its not even funny. 2010 would be a good year, 'cept for the fact that so many other good and bad movies are going to be showing up in theaters around that time. I might as well sit back and watch it so I can laugh maniacally at its crazy results.

    M. Night may not be that great in the casting department of this movie, but he is sure making up for it with the hiring of his crew. And LOTR esque cinematography would be great for this film.

On a side note, who else is stoked that James Newton Howard is doing the score.
