Iroh, Zhao, and Ozai have been casted.

Iroh will be played by Shaun Toub who also played Dr. Yinsen in Iron Man.

Zhao will be played by Aasif Mandvi. He played the pizza store owner in the beggining of Spidermand 2 and has been on many TV shows.

Ozai will be played by Cliff Curtis. He often plays characters from all sorts of ethnicities and has been a supporting actor for many big name stars.

What!? Hugh Jackman isn't playing Zhao!? *hyperventilate*

I was hoping for Jason Isaacs (for Zhao or Ozai). I guess he's too white, am I right? *rolls eyes*

At least the AAW people finally got "an actual Asian" in the movie.

The irony: he's got the whitest name of the entire cast.

Hey! Cliff Curtis was in 10,000 B.C.! (He was "Tik-Tik")

You know, I am really glad that the movie is getting mostly experienced actors for the cast- it might be pretty good after all!!

Wonder who this "Earthbending Father" character is supposed to be.

The only person who comes to my mind is Haru's dad.

Not only is he not an Earthbender, but he's also not going to be in this movie, which is based on season 1 of the show.

Either that or it's a hollywood-inserted environmentalist figure here to teach impressionable young children the dangers of real-life "bending" of the earth.

'Earth Power' on three, kids! Ready? One-Two-Three! "EARTH POWER!"

what about Zuko's flashback in The Storm. And the flashbacks inZuko alone. he's needed. Not as much as he is in the 3rd but he's still floating around there.

plus, I am willing to bet that they will change the script a bit to make him slightly more involved..like they might start out in chronological order to show the scenes from the storm to explain where each character is coming from before the main storyline begins...

Oh I really REALLY hope they don't do that- part of the intrigue of ATLA is that we had to follow along and figure things out as we went- if they reveal it all at the beginning then it takes away the adventure of learnign about the ATLA world piece by piece.

Yes, I know that they will be trying to cram 10 hrs worth of events into a 2 hr movie, but I just don't want this to end up like the Eragon adaptation, where we see Galbatorix in the first two minutes when he wasn't even directly in the first book, and he was a total let down little pee-his-pants looser, too.

Seriously, the plot needs to stay basically the same or else it's not Avatar: The Last Airbender anymore.

I agree, when I see movie adaptations of my favorite books or tv shows, it just ruins the movie for me when they totally change the flow of the story.

Theres no point in worrying about it since it will end up a sad, cut up version of avatar just like anyother remake type movies...they best we can hope for is that it is not totally killed and kinda follows the main plot...
