July 1st. And it's been all over television. I see AT LEAST 3 tv spots for it a day.

Wednesday night, according to M. Night Fans. I don't know if they're throwing down the red carpet though. But, on a related note, I heard that today and tomorrow are the critic screenings so we should be getting reviews soon.

it is a sad day when a theater only plays the midnight premiere, then no showings the next day because all of the slots are filled with eclipse...

Really? That stinks! Here, most of the theatres with 3d are showing either eclipse (meh) or toy story 3 (which was awesome, so I don't mind so much). But there's still a couple that will have TLA. So are you just seeing the midnight premiere then?

I don't really want to see it there because I want to go to it in 3D and I might just fall asleep that that time...haha. So I am just going to drive a bit to the next closest theater that has a showing in 3D on thursday..

    Avatar is now "Uh-va-tar"

M Night confirmed it awhile back

I actually like the new pronunciations because the way avatar was said used to bother me...the original Sanskrit pronunciations is uh-vatar...
the same concept is applied to each of these names...basically...these new pronunciations make the movie more legit..

I saw it last night. Personally, I loved it. Most critics may hate it. It was too short and there was some bad dialog. The effects and scenery was amazing, but the action scenes were ehh. I loved most of the acting with the exception of Zhao. He wasn't too intimidating. Ringer was fabulous. Legit. I loved Aang. My favorite scenes were at the north pole, the flashbacks aang has, and the last scene in the movie.... which.. yeah, watch it. 3D is not necessary btw, so you don't need to watch it in 3D - it doesn't add or take anything away.

How did you see it already? And yeah writing the 'dialog' is not M Nights strong point, which sucks because that's one of the most important things in a movie.

This review isn't making me too excited to see the movie. I know it is just one person's opinion, but he judged things that are usually agreed upon...i dunno...I guess we'll see tomorrow...

Currently has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's out of eight reviews so it'll probably change but man, the reviews make it sound really bad.

Yeah the reviews are pretty abysmal. Waiting for the bootleg version is sounding even more tempting now....
