timeline of life of Sozin and Roku, (how can Nick.com give wrong data? )

    Though it's odd that Azula said Azulon only ruled for 23 years when he ruled for 75.


    I don't go by what "people say"

    I go by what the episodes say

    in the burial of Azulon that was shown in an episode, the sages(not Azula) said that he ruled for 23 years

    in the 306 episode, they stated

    "Sozin and Roku shared the same birthdate"

    when Roku was told he was Avatar, he must have been 16

    in the episode it is stated he was trained for 12 yrs in airbending, earthbending and waterbending, so he was married when 28

    in all sites, and I think on one episode, it is stated Roku was 58 when he died, in 306 it is stated it was 25 yrs between the "fight" and the volcanoes

    58 - 25 is 33 when they had the fight, so it was 5 yrs between the wedding and the fight

    the comet came around the time that Aang froze, so the war began when Aang was 12. or 12 yrs after death of Roku, or when Sozin was 70

    all sites put as fact that Ozai has been 8 yrs firelord, adding the 23 years of Azulon, that is 31, Aang is 112, 112 - 31 is 81, 81 - 12 (age of Aang when he froze) is 69, 70 plus 69 is 139 when Sozin died

    by the way, in the interview they said that in "an episode of book 3" all the questions about Roku and Sozin would be answered(306)and it seems that the interviewer saw "the timeline" and might have read it wrong, Azulon might have been about 75 when he became firelord, and died around 95

    as I said, we should go by what the "episodes" say

    read the transcript of the "escape from spirit world, Roku" and it shows that when he used the sun to "artificially" reach avatar state, he was 26, 10th year of learning all bending skills , and about reaching avatar state from the fire sages. And it was 2 years before returning to Fire nation and marrying at age 28

    What makes no sense then is the fact that Roku, an avatar, grayed in five years at age 33! Kioshi (sp?) lived to 230 and looks like she hadnt aged at all when she died (Im assuming to look the age u Died at seeing as Roku looks old, whilst Kuruk (the water Avatar) looked like he was in 40s. So why did he age so badly? Its like Iroh turning gray between death of his son and Zuko being burnt. Originally i though Zuko was 10 in Zuko Alone, but apparently he was 12, and he was burnt at 13/14. I know Iroh is like 20 to 30 years older than Ozai, but thats some bad aging (i assume loss of son got to him).

    My Point? The creators didnt work out the times at the start of show, and have not kept in line with what they said at the beginning (Kinda like Red Dwarf; they changed things all the time on that show, but i still love it )

    On wikipedia, and on Escape Spirit World they say he died at age 170!!!!

    might have been "misquoted" by someone when they read Sozin was born 170 years ago

    same age as Roku, Roku died at 58, and Aang was born 112 yrs ago(soon after Roku died)

    112 plus 58 is 170

    according to what is said in "the avatar and the firelord" and other episodes, Sozin died at 139

    Thats what seems right BUT Iroh doesnt match up. ZUko was meant to 10 (ive heard 12 in other places) meaning Iroh went gray and fatter in only three years (he was thinner than S2 iroh, though not as much as he was with Lu Ten in flash back, and had brown/black hair), less if ZUko was older. If your right about Ozai ruling for 8 then Zuko was 8 or 9 in the episode, so Iroh had a little longer to age into S2 Iroh.

    No, Zuko was 13 when he got the scar, its stated in the day of the black sun

    Perhaps Avatars live longer??? Unless they die of poisoning or by sword. And in Zuko alone, he was 15 or 16

    to me it seems that when Azulon died, Zuko was 8/9, and Iroh went to spirit world somewhere between than and the time that Zuko got scarred at age 13, and Iroh and Zuko traveled together for 3 years after that

    Zuko is today 16, almost 17

    in present time at "ZA" Zuko was 16, in the flashbacks he was around 8 (and that is what sektos was talking about when he says 10 and 12 )

    No, it's not important to the storyline

    in the funeral they would have mentioned his brother(if your theory was correct)
    Brother is only 1 of many possible solutions. It could have been anything. Perhaps Azulon was just a baby when Sozin died (that would hit in with their ages) Then maybe the fire sages ruled until Azulon was old enough to be Fire Lord. There are many ways to explain the "gap". Use any one for them that works.

    how much is "old enough to rule?" even if we go with 16(coming of age)as time he was allowed to rule

    16 plus 23 is 39, do you think Azulon was 39 when he died? specially when Iroh looked already more than 30 when he was doing siege of Ba Sing Se? you trying to draw straws to explain gaps in order to show they not doing mistakes and BTW, someone mentioned Koh statement of someone tried to kill me 800 or 900 years ago as proof that kuruk was alive 800 years ago

    first, by fact that koh said 800 or 900 years ago indicates he is not sure how long ago, second, as shown in avatar escape: Kuruk, Kuruk has not found Koh, thus it might be that 800 to 900 years ago another avatar is one who tried killing Koh, and that the avatar of 800 or 900 yrs ago was the mustached guy that tried to kill Koh(Koh had this face when he made that statement)
