timeline of life of Sozin and Roku, (how can Nick.com give wrong data? )

    I remember them mentioning how long Zuko had been away from the FN. GAH, I can't remember the details. I think it was mentioned in the beginning of the second season.

    most probably 6 years

    the death of Azulon was same year Lu Ten died, and it was established Iroh was gone around 3 years(and where he is supposed to have gone to the spirit world), and soon after he came back is when he allowed Zuko to be at the meeting that lead to Zuko's banishment, which was just under 3 years when Aang was found by Katara and Sokka

    ok, I found the interveiw and for ur convinence here's the section that talks about it.

    BK: We do have a timeline we made quite a while ago.

    MDD: Actually we have figured it all out. I can't quote it all off the top of my head right now, but there is an episode of season three where a lot of your questions about Roku and Sozin will be addressed. All about the war starting, stuff like that. Something to look forward to, so we don't want to speak publicly on that. Really, folks'll be happier if we don't. ***Post Interview note from Bryan*

    ** "I checked the timeline, and without giving too much away, here's a breakdown: Sozin actually ruled for about 20 years after he started the war, so he was about 82 when he started the war. Azulon (born shortly after the comet came) ruled for about 75 years and died at the age of 95. Ozai has ruled for only 5 years. Those are the main milestones.)"

    Mike and Bryan are gods, but their word is not law. It has been stated specifically in the show that Azulon only ruled for 23 years. As all-powerful as Bryke are, even they cannot simply overide the stuff definitely mentioned in the show.

    they said about 20 so they're still right.

    They said 20 for Sozin. Azulon on the other foot supposedly ruled for 75 years as stated by the creators, which contradicts what was said in the eulogy of "Zuko Alone."

    he might have gotten confused when he "checked" the timeline

    as the official timeline from the time war started is

    start point = war starts and Aang's disappearance at age 12

    year 69(71?) = Sozin's death and what would have been Aang's 81st birthday

    year 92(94?) = Azulon's death (as somewhere it is said Ozai has been firelord for 8 years, that I will have to check transcripts to make sure and make it official, if I saw it official, when I found it, it must have been in an episode transcript)and Aang's 104th

    that means that Iroh returns to FN at year 95, and stayed at FN for about 2 years(or same year he returned) before Zuko was banished at year 97

    year 100, Aang is found by Katara and Sokka

    that also means that when Azulon died, Zuko was about 8 and the half, and Azula was about 6 and the half, since Zuko was almost 17 by the finale

    69 0r 71 is close to 75, 23 is close to 20, and 6 or 8 is close to 5, and Bryan might have gotten confused in the placement of 20 and 75, but Azulon was probably born a few years after the comet, and was over 90 when he died
