timeline of life of Sozin and Roku, (how can Nick.com give wrong data? )

    according to most sites(if not all), when book 1 episode 1 started, Sokka 15, Katara 14

    unless you show me an episode where Sokka celebrated his BD, is still 1 year

    We might as well abandon the timeline. It's filled with errors. According to nick's site, Sozin ruled the FN for 20 years after the war started and died at the age of 102. Azulon (according to the end of Zuko Alone) ruled for 23 years. Ozai is 7 or 8 years running. That covers 50 years. Where's the other half?

    they were born 170 years ago

    AGE- facts

    16- friends from childhood, and Roku finds out from fire sages that he is the Avatar, and starts trip around the world to learn all bendings

    28- after 12 years Avatar Roku returns, and Sozin has become Firelord (Father died) during that time; Roku marries Tonjin or Ton Jin or something similar, Sozin tells Roku of his dream of expanding FN and share FN's prosperity (it has a noble root, but it is not proper); Roku tells him to forget it

    33- Roku finds Sozin conquered a land in the EK, they battle, Sozin is defeated and Roku tells him not to do a missstep or he would be finished

    58- Volcano erupts at the home Isle of Roku, Sozin comes to help him, but his "dream" pull is too strong and allows Roku to die of poisoning, Aang is born(can't believe how old both look at 58 yrs of age, and this seems to indicate that the "avatar spirit" goes to a newborn being born at the time of the old avatar dying, and the avatar is the combination of a normal baby with the avatar spirit)

    70- Sozin begins attack on the Air Nomads right before the coming of the comet

    139- Sozin dies, Azulon becomes Firelord for 23 years

    he ruled for almost 70 years after the war began, he had been firelord for about 110 years, don't know how Nick site got the "died after 20 yrs from BEGINNING of war" and died at 102 (44 yrs after Roku's death), UNLESS someone else (Azulon's brother? Sozin's brother?)was firelord for 37 years before it went to Azulon

    your theory is correct. it fits in with all the information we have gotten from the show, the then again i think nick.com get their information from the creators..there is realy something f***ed up here

    as I said previously

    IF NICK WAS CORRECT about him dying at 102, than someone else ruled for 37 yrs between Sozin and Azulon

    and IF NICK WAS CORRECT about "Sozin ruled the FN for 20 years after the war started" taking in as a fact that he died at 102, (which I dispute)the war started 12 yrs after Aang froze(when he was supposed to be 24)

    if we take as a fact that the war started when Aang froze(12 years in age)and since Roku and Sozin are same age, and Roku died at 58, than Sozin was 70 when war started, and should have died at 90(not 102)

    the nick facts are full of holes, mine are tight according to what episode 6 says, and with the canon fact that Roku was 58 when he died

    in the episode, Roku went in a 12 yrs training when he was told he was the avatar (canon fact, generally with exception of Aang, Avatars are told when they become 16)

    so Roku wedding to Ta min was when he was 28, than a few years later years till Roku and Sozin fought, than the episode said that after that "fight" (very one-sided)25 years later the volcanoes eruption happened, since Roku died at 58, 58 - 25, they were 33 when they "fought", and 33-28 is 5, so the fight was 5 years after Roku's wedding

    the war supposed to have began right at the time that Aang was 12, (after volcanoes, it took 12 years for FN army to prepare) so Sozin was 70 when FN began attacking in full, specially toward the Air Nomads, 70 plus 20 is 90, so it can't be 102 when he died at that side

    if we go from the present

    Aang is technically 112

    112 plus 58 is 170 years since Roku's birth

    Ozai has been FL for 8 years, Azulon was for 23

    23 plus 8 is 31

    170 - 31 is 139, so unless others was/were FL between Sozin and Azulon, it can't be 102 either from this side

    that is cool, yes, when the guy that won the trip to nick studios gets there, instead of asking question, give them answers, and make them into fools(they are anyway, they should have done 301 to 306 in the UK, than be aligned with the episodes at the USA, instead of suddenly giving them 307 to 309)

    hard to believe that nick.com itself would contradict so completely what was shown as facts in episode 306

    Sozin died at 139, not 102

    Very well done WiseLad, the reason thatprobably happened is that the site isn't updated by the creator. This reminds me of something that happened in One Piece, the author of the manga does not make the filler episodes. In the filler one of thecharacters ate two rumble balls in a row and was just fine. Later in the series (the arc that is faithful to that manga) it revealed that when he eats two of them he can't control himself and if he eats three he becomes a monster.

    a few of us should do the facts in nick.com, and be able to communicate with the creators, to make sure whatever we put, it will be canon, and not BS

    According to an interview with the creators:

    ***Post Interview note from Bryan*** "I checked the timeline, and without giving too much away, here's a breakdown: Sozin actually ruled for about 20 years after he started the war, so he was about 82 when he started the war. Azulon (born shortly after the comet came) ruled for about 75 years and died at the age of 95. Ozai has ruled for only 5 years. Those are the main milestones.)"

    Though it's odd that Azula said Azulon only ruled for 23 years when he ruled for 75.
