    I think Katara has to more of a maternal instinct with Aang than a romantic one. I don't really care for Zutara, it's just that with Jet gone, he's the next best thing.

    can be that in some cases, but shipping is actually supporting a "possible relationship and the words in red is why is called shipping, not because they are "tripping" in their minds

    I prefer the impossible, or least likely. I mean, we see the Cannon on the show, so why not spice it a bit?

    So what if Zuko and Katara make babies? What if Aang and Katara make babies?

    Both are boring, but I pick the lesser boring.

    But I could just be a crack shipper...

    Wiselad, I understand from season 3 it's clear that Zuko and Mai already had a past together, and probably also from the comics. But I still feel it very much goes against the grain in that way that Zuko in episodes like Tales of Ba Sing Se seems a bit of inexperienced in love, so I actually didn't see him doing him do the kissing with Mai that soon in a way that makes him look like Casanova.

    Ah well..I still say Zutara all the way. I don't like a lot of Deviantart about Zutara (like Angelwings and blood stuff or even worse; the cosplay stuff), it's too cheesy for me, I prefer a more cuter and a little naughty kind of Zutara though. Therefor let them fight and the making-up willl be another moment for me to get me handkerchief. The moment Katara and Zuko will know about the fullness of each others angstsy psyches and scarring lives will be a diamond I hope.

    i really dont like most of the zutara fanfics out there, most of them are disgusting or creepy, some are ok though

    If you want to know the real reason why Zutara got started, look to the first shipping thread of DH. It's quite amusing how two characters that are 'hot' can get paired together.
