Yeah I previously posted it in this thread and then I remembered I got modded for it, so I changed it to another Zutara pic. Ack. LOL

oh yeah, was it that one borderline sex-scene Zutara pic from Deviantart?

Yeah. Drisela is one of my absolute favorite Deviant Art artists but her art is definitely for 'older' Avatar fans.

Just two things. 1. All the Sokka and Zuko ships are not the main ships of the show. That's why they came up faster. 2. SPOILER It's assumed generally that she let Aang go with Zuko since Zuko couldn't firebend anyway.

    Regarding:

    1. Okay - I can understand what you mean.

    2. Yes, Zuko couldn't firebend but still - if I was Katara and I really had a grudge against Zuko, I wouldn't have let Aang go alone with him regardless. Plus you said that it is "generally assumed". It isn't fact. Don't mind me - I'm pondering it myself as well.

There's not enough hard evidence to merit any serious Zutara following. I've said it before and I will say it again. The Katara and Aang relationship is the -ONLY- romantic relationship in Avatar to actually be long and developed over the course of the show. The only other relationship comparable would be Zuko and Iroh, which, is obviously not romantic.

I'm going to play devil's advocate, 'kay? Yes, I agree that the "romantic" tension between Aang and Katara has been there since the beginning. However, not all the relationships in the show have been from the very beginning. Sokka and Suki's is going pretty strong. Their relationship was built in less than a handful of episodes. Just sayin' for the sake of the arguement.

Since I don't know how to do the hidden spoiler thing: SPOILERS POSSIBLY BELOW! YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED!

As far as Katara's death threats to Zuko - I compare it with her past relationship with Jet. She was betrayed by Jet and when he returned towards the end of Season 2 - she was venomous towards him also. (similarity, ne?) However, he proved himself to be true and she didn't verbally forgive him, but it is assumed that she did judging by the look of remorse on her face when he passed away. My theory is that the same will happen regarding her and Zuko. And if she didn't have some ounce of faith in him, would she have really let him go with Aang to train ALONE? I'm not so sure.

Zuko and Katara will definately make-up. And yes, you do have a point with the quicker developed relationships. Maiko was the most out of the blue image ever to me, despite the little very very vague meaningless gesture in return to Omashu and the little blush in Zuko alone. That's where my Zutara hope lies too.

And ofcourse Katara has pretty much trust issues, but yes, she has a reason for being that vicious; from my point of view THAT's what makes it 'hot and steamy' :p. I find Kataang too boring because it's actually a bit too much a built up relationship IMO.

The idea I had with the end of season 2 is that Mike and Bryan just LOVE to tease us with making things difficult, giving you the idea of 'How the h...ll are they going to get out of this situation' which would make it lovely for me that they'd give us another one of those round the end by making things unbelievablye difficult....including a Zutara showing up being trouble for Aang and jeopardizing his friendship with Zuko.

People say it's a kid show so therefor Zutara would make things too much like a soap.....I've just seen Alladin with my nephew, and that film ain't clean either man......so why not a little dirt? I think the adults are making it a bigger issue than the kids do.

On the other hand I wouldn't be surprised though Kataang is happening, I'm facing a lot of facts pointing at that. But just imagine the lovely surprise of Zutara -sparkle-

That's true, Maiko literally went turbo-ship in one episode.

Before that it was a blink here and nod there, but nothing substantial.

To mean Zutara could happen that quickly as well.

However, though I'm an overall Zutarian,....I wouldn't want it to have the same feeling as Maiko IMO. That was too quick and underdeveloped IMO. I would prefer to keep it to Kataang to prevent Zutara damage. Characterdevelopment and story goes above everything. I wouldn't want to risk the story to be ruined by all that shipping.

With which I mean, Zutara development must start one or two upcoming episodes from here, or then I'd prefer keeping Zutara a cherished dream instead of a ruined one. If it would be later, I think I'd regret it.

I can pretty much promise that there will be angst sometime in the later half of this season, but, it will all amount to Katara saying to someone *coughzukocough* "Sorry*. Don't account on it in the fullest, but, the shipping will most likely be taken care of, in 317. I'm not completly positive, but that what dylan,a few others and I are guessing.

    I like to think of the Avatar State as more of a back up plan when things go really awry. As I said in one of the other threads though: I don't believe we are through with the Avatar State. I don't believe they'd place so much detail in explaining the state only to cast it aside. At least - I hope they wouldn't. ^^;

let's play "devil" and say Aang will not ever be able to go Avatar state, that would mean he has to find "some way to defeat ozai", and that way might involve risking his life, and he might think, "it has to be done, plus this way someone else will be born who can go avatar state, as I can't anymore" Than he dies----

of course if we think there has to be a way to go avatar state, we can use this situation (his willingness to sacrifice himself) as the one thing that unlocks his avatar state

i think the only zutara moment that could happen is at the finale with katara forgiving zuko for what he was done, and nothing more

maiko is not as "simple as it was a blink here and nod there, but nothing substantial." as it would be having Zutara at the start of 314; Maiko has the benefit that something substantial can be written as part of Zuko and Mai's past life before he was exiled at 14 yrs of age through flashbacks, added to the Comic that was in the magazine that officially opened Maiko/Maizu and closed Jinko
