    Perhaps the more skilled the bender, the less they need to bend with. As said, Bumi can bend with just his chin. Toph can do tons of stuff with just her feet. The average bender probably needs his or her arms and legs free to do proper bending, which involves stances and forms like actual martial arts.

    the rocks on her wrist could be a different situation because there is a seperate force (dai lee bender) who is bending the rock to her wrists. Either way tho I agree that toph, despite someone imposing their bending on her, is strong enough to break the rocks that might be binding her

    Amen to that!?? Toph is strong and she can get out of anything, within reason.?? But I know she would?? probably panic at first, since earthbending is her only way of seeing.?? WHen you take that away, she's completely blind.?? I know if I was in ehr place and earthbending was my only source of sight, I would panick as well.?? But I know Toph can get out of it if she really tried.?? And at least she's not alone.?? I can't wait to see this episode!

    I know the Nick.com summary talks about Zuko's dreams predicting strange things.?? What do you think... will it just be things that happen in the season finale, or are the creators going to use the "Zuko's Dreams" sequences to give us a little preview of season 3 events??? *crosses fingers for both*

    Does anyone know who the Bender that represents Earth in the opening theme is?
    water is Master Paku, fire is Azula, and Air is naturally Ang but who is the earth guy?

    It's been mentioned on by the creators I think that the Earthbender in the opening of the show is supposed to be a male prototype character that eventually became Toph. Many comment that the guy resembles the Boulder (from the Blind Bandit), but with a slightly different physique.

    Nope. He probably has more to do with the Spirit World... supposedly his information for Aang will make him a stronger Avatar, if not necessarily a stronger bender.

    Oh, guys, I was at TurboNick and found something VERY interesting last night. Can't say what, it's gone now. But I can promise you will see something that will traumatize you. It even freaked out the freakish child!

    I think I know what that was...

    The Earth King (the whole ep) was on Turbonick for a little while, but was taken down quickly. Someone was able to watch it though, and posted the episode summary on another forum. I read it once, and all I can say is... this episode is WILD and is going to make the wait for the Season finale almost unbearable...

    And one of my predictions concerning the Ozai Angels came true... WOOHOO...
