Official Episode Discussion: The Earth King (Spoilers)

    Because I think that Iroh isn't necessarily telling him that he has to let go of wanting to be the Fire Lord, but instead that he should go for it through another path, not by capturing the Avatar to please his father.?? Also, I think the scar is gonna go, because when Iroh is saying, "when you finish the metamorfosis, you will be the beautiful prince bla bla bla (can't remember exactly)" when he's saying beautiful, he's passing a towel over his scar.?? May be looking too into it, but I think it's a hint.

    Edit: anyone noticed that Jet wasn't mentioned once... you know, after you think you loose someone, and he was fighting so valiantly, I think you should at least mention the name, especially when no one knows if he bit the dust for sure.

    I agree with you.?? Or Iroh could be talking about the "beautiful prince" on the inside.?? Maybe he is hinting at a change in the way the Fire Nation is run.?? Maybe he thinks that Zuko will become Fire Lord, but he'll be different from all the Fire Lords before him because Zuko has learned about friends and peace and how the Avatar is sacred to the well-being of the world, like Iroh told him in "Bitter Work", kind of, I think.?? I just remember how he drew the circle in the sand and it had all the four nations' symbol in it.?? If/When Zuko becomes Fire Lord, he won't be mean and nasty like all the ones before him who were bent on world conquest.

    But you might be right about that scar and the beautiful prince.

    I know, what happened to Jet, Smellerbee, and Longshot? The entrance was destroyed.

    i have reached a conclusion about tophs earthbending through this episode... i don't think she can sense earth when it is in the air because when the rocks were fired at appa she asked what that was and didn't help in deflecting them... so yeah... sorry if anyone mentioned this before

    What would the Dai Li want with them? They probably snuck out before this episode. At least those still breathing...

    I'm probably the only one that thinks this but I think the earth king is sort of cute. I like his style for some reason its neat clean cut look and those glasses.
