lol aang took way too long to execute his attack. what happened wit his avatar state it seemed like he fell down in the spirit world

-I thought the mental reflection in ???Guru??? was a little superficially presented???what does it mean to let go of shame, of fear, of earthly attachments? Especially that last one, because Aang finally tries to do it at the end.

Well basiclly aang had to learn to master his fears, be humbled by his shame and not have is perceptions of what is required of the avatar be clouded by his personal attachments to the world.?? So that he can enter the avatar state when required and when he needs to not only when his friends or himself are in danger, when he is afraid or when he is angry.??

I loved toph in this episode espesally when she was riding back to ba sing se.?? I really hope Suki dosn't come back... for Suki's sake.

I've been searching like crazy...but I havent' been able to find it...but I said in this forum a while back (right around the Avatar State)??something along the lines of "what could be powerful enough to kill Aang when he's in the Avatar State...a well placed bolt of lightning maybe?" If I can find it I'll post it but Lord when I'm right I'm right
the lightening bolt didn't kill aang, only injured him badly, after all iroh survived a lightning bolt

True it didn't, but I was damn close...and Iroh was hit with blue fire...there's a difference there...

holy cow!!!!!!!! you are riiiiight I can't believe I never caught that before, I always thought that was lightening!!! thx. even so I still don't believe he was killed. The healing water may have special healing powers but I seriously doubt could turn around death

it was from the moon goddess come on! and do you realize that making the avatar line end ensures that aang is and always will be the hero of the story he definetely died.

I think another purpose of this fight was to show exactly how much everyone has grown bending wise. Even Zuko learned some new moves. Aang was tearin up the spot, his Airbending was already good, seems he's even gotten better at that. Seeing Katara and Zuko slash at each other with those extended arms of flame and water was nice...a whole Yin/Yang thing going on...didn't I say someone would be taken down for good? well Aang was but only for a couple seconds..anyone who says this show is boring doesn't know a damn thing

well. i was pleased with this episode, indeed. not the best episode of this season, but it was good. it seemed a bit predictable though, and bland. sort of everything i figured to would be, and not much i really wanted. a bit of pleasure for me, in that all-of-one??Toph/Sokka scene. (!LOSER! :B) ...but, yeah. IMO, that was the only thing that made this up-to-par with this season. all the Kataang/Zutara bugged me. but then, all three of those characters annoy me. XD anyways, Toph metal-bending was very??satisfactory. but otherwise, i thought this was a??slightly disappointing ending to such??an overall action-packed and brilliant season. :/

Maybe someone's mentioned this already (I don't know, 85 new threads just appeared in the last two hours)...

But did anybody notice how many new or improved bending powers there were in this? Allow me to illustrate:

-- Toph masters the art of Metalbending. (yes, go Toph!! woot, woot!!)

-- Zuko uses fire techniques stronger and more advanced than any episode before (at least, that I've seen). Examples: He punched a true fire blast, utterly powerful, complete with ringing shockwave of flame. And those whips... it was like a knife through hot butter; quite original to the show. This is the boy who first tried to kill Azula with knife flames! Indeed, the 1st grader has grown up.

-- Azula, not considering all her fire-blasts (which were even stronger than the Drill battle), harnessed flame and literally flew. Daddy would be so proud!

-- Momo got captured by Dai Li, and strangely resembled a hand grenade.

-- Aang masters the Avatar state. However, he kind of let that distract him from watching nearby enemies, which had... severe consequences. But there were a lot of new moves he used. Riding the landslide (invented by Toph), crystal man (like Toph's rock man-- do you see a pattern yet?), he shot a man-shaped blast of air (now you have to admit, THAT was original), etc.

    Need I go on?

Yeah, it's important that Nickelodeon have some originality in every episode. They've lived true to that. However, this had a LOT of originality, and made for a worthy season finale.

My conclusion: Season 3 will be even better.
    SWEET MAN

Well, That show toyed with my emotions!!

there are too many cliffhangers to count!!

I think Aang was not killed, just mortally wounded. Iroh took a bolt to the heart and he survived. However the fall probably would have snapped his neck since he fell headfirst, thats why Katara dropped everything and caught him.

Aang gave up his love for Katara. He gave up everything.in his heart to be able to save her. It was very heroic, but I'm not sure he will love her next season. I wonder if Aang will be the same happy person next season at all. If you compare him to the previous avatars, they were very stoic at the end of their training. Now that he has opened them all, he will be different. He renounced his love for Katara because no hero can have a lover, it makes them vunerable to their enemies. Kataang may have ended.

Zuko has changed, he knows what he is doing is wrong, he knows Azula isnt telling him the truth. "Azula always Lies. Azula always Lies. Azula always Lies." I think he and Iroh figured that she would turn him in as a prisoner when she returned to the Fire Continent. After all, thats why she was sent out in the first place. I bet they are waiting for the oppertune momment, that will redeem him, and maybe put Zutara back in the possibilities. But more importantly, Zuko says he has changed. He seemed so torn at the end, like, he was worried it wouldnt work, its very hard to trick his sister.

Suki and Jet are likely both dead, I dont think Azula would have let them live after chasing away Appa, the perfect bait for the avatar. Jet Seemed like he could have survived, but as time wears on, and he dosent appear . . .

Next, the group will have to stop acting like recruters and organisers and start working as a small squad to infiltrate and destroy, like Azula. I wonder what theyre going to do with the earth king? He seems like a added liability to me.

But as far as Iroh goes, He seemed to be waiting on Zuko.?? He says there is good in him, and thats the reason he has followed him this far.?? I think the 'good' is going to start shining through.?? Zuko is a great badass, not bad guy.?? If he worked with tha Aang Gang, he would still be the same old Zuko

He does have great powers, though I don't think he'd be able to use them, the strain would be too much and then Zuko (who did no treally betray him) would have to take over

I just want to say something about what mostly everybody is saying about Aang right now. I just want to say that Aang probably can't fight all that well because he is afraid of what will happen when he loses comtrol. earlier in the fight he didn't want to give up Katara but when the Dai lei came he knew that it was the only way to save her.
