Does Katara love Aang? The Ending

After seeing the new trailer, wich ship ( you think ) will happen?

    Well, I think otherwise, I dont Katara loves Aang, but only motherly. And time is not an excuse to deny Zutara, I think they can make that in 3 episodes. About Mai, I think she will betray him, as we can see in the comic con panel, where Zuko and Mai are in a room. She will probably give that letter to Azula.


    LOL what would be the big deal if Mai gave the letter to Azula? And of course as a die hard Zutara supporter, you will have to think that she would betray him, without giving any room at all that Mai could end up surprising many.

    Mai: Azula, here is the letter Zuko gave me

    Azula reads letter and it says basically

    "I reached the conclusion that I was doing the wrong thing, and decided that the fire nation is in the wrong by forcing themselves unto other nations, now they hate us, they don't see us as friends but as oppressors. I wish you could have come with me, but I know you would have had a hard time deciding if I was wrong or right, and I didn't have the time to wait. I am going to join the Avatar and help him against my father. I will miss you Mai, and I love you. Zuko"

    Azula: HA HA HA JHA , Dad already told me about that. He was mad at me about hiding the fact that the Avatar still lives, but it was worth it, as now that traitor of Zuzu is sentenced to die. And I would do it with pleasure HA HA HA HA


    I was talking about a rendez vous point, or a quiet place where they could meet each other without any suspicious. Then, Azula can easily catch Zuko.

When I first started watching this show, it was at the end of sezason 2. I thought Zuko and Katara would end up togther and I thought Toph and Aang were together. I have realized that was not the intent. From the beginning its always been about Aang and Katara. The creators have even said thats the DNA of the show. They are not going to throw away 2.5 years of Aang crushing and falling in love with Katara just to have her go with Zuko. There has never been anything romantic between them. If you can name one instance, I'll eat my words. The crossroads of destiny was NOT romatic either. They bonded over them losing their mom's. I know you guys will find something to twist in my logic. It never fails. All I ask is that you look at everything from Episode 1 to 51 from a different perspective.

    I think YOU miss the big picture, Its obvious she didnt like that kiss in the DOBS, Second, its not 2.5 years, but 2.5 seasons. And third, I think having Zuko and Katara as enemies first, then showing what could happen in the CoD is also a big picture. Its not like having always Aang and Katara as lovers during the whole story, I only saw three episodes dedicated only on the relationships between Katara and Aang, the cave of the two lovers, the daydreamer and the DOBS.

    Well there's a 50% chance zutara happening 50% maiko happening. Reasons for my theory:

    • Zuko's joining the gaang! There will be a possibility Zuko and Katara will have alone time.
    • Zuko's note to Mai...Azula might switch it making Mai Hate Zuko. Or she'll give the note to CM to hunt him down. OR Azula might send Mai to kill Zuko Even if she doesnt want to.
    • Aang might see another woman and go after her and leave Katara.
    • Zuko WILL have to decide. Like Crossroads of destiny.

    Anyway Kataang will happen but for the meantime. Katara might ignore Aang during their trip to the Western Air Temple after what happened in DOBS.

    I don't thing Katara will ignore Aang.. She didn't when they saw eachother in DOBS. She tried to comfort him, after his failure. I doubt she will ignore him after she already did that. the only thing what might happen is that she doesn't want to talk about it. Ignoring is too much.

    Thats why I think she will join him in his search for his mother, then having some romantic scenes while travelling together, but... thats my theory. But, Sokka could join his sister with Zuko, thats could explain the picture showing Zuko, Katara and Sokka, according to Aj210 (or something like that, anyway, the guy who win a trip to the Nick Studio). Or the entire gaang will search with him, while training Aang to firebend.

    Did I say that? I atleast didn't meant to say that.. She won't forget it... But she might not want to talk about it in WAT.

    That's made me think of something else, was it comfirmed from the creators/nick that she was oblivious about Aangs love for her? i've been thinking she might just have ignored it. It seems hard to believe she didn't notice a thing. Aang's not really subtle.

    Well, they have already shared some personal memories from each other in the CoD, I think they could continue, then going further, leading to a better understanding for each others, and being always closer.

    All these theories and discussions make me think of Avatar as a soap opera. Humorous at times, but it goes on and on and on...hey, just like a soap opera!

    And this thread should be renamed "Warzone, Zuko vs. Aang; the never ending ship." On to battle!

    Personally what i think is that This could happen. I mean remember how interested Katarra was when Aang, and Katarra were dancing in one of the eps? I mean she seemed she had some feeling for him.

    see the thing is i know how to separate my personal interpretations of what i see in the show from the show itself. but you're hardly in a position to accuse otherwise if you're arguing based on the "vibes" you're getting from characters. the fact of the matter is that aangs feeling toward katara have been made clear from the very beginning, but you're taking that to mean that a romantic relationship between them is being hinted at. yes, aang OBVIOUSLY likes katara, but to say that 's automatically building up to kataang would be ignoring the fact that katara's feelings remain ambiguous. your interpretation of her ambiguous reaction is that she is developing a romantic interest in aang. mine is that she's not. either way, those are just personal interpretations. i'm not saying your pov is wrong, just that it's not necessarily right. neither is mine. the reason we can have completely opposing interpretations on how she feels is because, again, her feelings toward aang have remained ambiguous.

    sorry theres nothing between Zuko and Katara. No basis for a relationship. Never has been one. Your delusional thinking has serious flaws. Sharing personal memories does not lead to romance. And if Zuko goes to find his mom,he'll do that alone. You twist and turn everything "Kataang" moment to fit your needs. If she did not like the kiss, she woiuldve stopped it. SHe was into it. Look at the body language, look at the vibes. She was still wanting to kiss when he broke off it. She was surprised yes, but not liking it, well thats your opinion, albeit a lame one. WHy would she choose the guy who tried to kill him and betrayed her over the one who has always loved her. YOU only want to see what YOU want. Your blind and oblivious to whats going on because of it. I'm tired of debating this point with you. You shoot down any Kataang that comes across or twist it to Zutara. You wont acknowledge anything Kataang. Im not blind to Zutara, I just havent seen any. And to be frank, I dont think there will be any. Im not saying that to be an ass, I just dont see where they'll fit it in. Theres already going to be too much going on with not a lot of TIME!
