Katara wont just up and go with Zuko. If it were to happen, it would take time, which is something they dont have As for what Zuko and Katara have in common, its not enough to justify her leaving the gaang alone remember the main objective is to defeat the firelord something that she'll stick with Aang.

Zuko is joining because of Aang not to take Katara away fromhim which is what part of the Zutarian group has said. He still loves Mai, which is something no one can deny

I dont remember Zuko mentioning Katara's name. I know Aang said it once around him but that does not mean he'll remember it. He had other things on his mind.

Trust takes time, which, again, is something they dont have a lot of. I suspect he'll have to prove himself, do a bit of groveling, and trying to sweep Katara off her feet would not help his chances of trust with Aang.

I just dont see a romance blossoming between Zuko and Katara because of one thing, TIME. Its the one precious thing they dont have.

Zuko doesn't need to be a pimp to win Katara. He can just be himself. I feel that the real Zuko is a lot like the image she made in her mind about Jet.

I think she loves Aang, just not in a romantic way. If she did, I am sure she would have revealed it so when he pretty much died, or at least realized it. A situation between the two can't get more epic than that. Yet, they still returned to their old relationship. Katara's reaction to that kiss also contradicts. The love that should have woke up when Aang died should have poured out than, if it was freaking there. Of course, the writers could just be dragging Kataang out to the last Kaplank. If so, their Soap Opera antics really hurt this pairing. After Aang awoke, in COD, there should have been a tearful, I love you Aang confession. If Kataang is in the cards, the writers should have made up for their blunder, by having Katara confess after the kiss in DOBS. Instead, she looked like her first kiss was less than what she wanted. To totally ignore these epics situations, to have Katara decide she loves Aang in a smelly old temple, makes the romance about as epic as Maiko. This will lead me to believe that, the creators kick all types of a$$ in every genre of writing except in the romance area.

The problem with this logic is that unlike Avatar, the creators already knew the main two charcters werent supposed to be together. And to say Katara is like Lana is just rediculous. Katara is more Lois than anything. Anyway You cant compare Avatar with Smallville just blike you cant compare it with Kim Possible or Harry Potter. There wasnt time for a confession as a battle was going on. I think that was a little more important. Just because they havent said it yet, does not mean they dont feel it. The best love relationships take time. And to say her first kiss isnt what she wanted, thats lame too. It seemed to me she enjoyed it.

Yes, I read it all, you see my study only takes a few hours a day, the rest is divided in a few thing and one of them is reading these boards. It took me longer then I expected actually, but that's because English isn't my native language. And this isn;t the only thread that i've read fully..

The reason I used Smallville is because Nakkie34 said that the writers won't put a bullet through the romance that they had been building from the start. That show is a prime example that writers can and will do, just that.

It is lame in your opinion. I see it as fact. Katara should've been shown to enjoy her first kiss, without a shadow of a doubt in anyone's mind. Every kiss before it and probably after it will be more passionate.
