Does Katara love Aang? The Ending

After seeing the new trailer, wich ship ( you think ) will happen?

    So, you're saying now that Aang could think that Zuko might steal Katara from him It looks like a pretext to show Zutara and deny it. Why he might think something like that ?     Ooh, playboy Zuko. I guess it all boils down to what Zuko wrote in that letter to Mai. Does "im sorry" mean im sorry but we cant be a couple anymore or does it mean i am sorry i have to leave but i still love you? Hmm, im not sure....

    What ? it happen for Sokka, even if Suki was not his official girlfriend, with Yue. But, I'm saying that when the relationship is not strong enough, another relationship can easily takes place. (and my theory is always related about my theory that Mai will betray him, concerning a rendez vous with Zuko.)

    Woops, I read it wrong. I thought it was saying, "She looks away. She must be in love with him (as in Zuko." So all we have here is a "failure to communicate." I completely agree with what you said and, quite frankly, is the opinion I hold.

    First, I must state that the pic wasn't intended to be a directed insult. It's just that the whole thing is so obvious and right there in the show l I never said Zutarians were irrational land delusional. Some of the stuff some of them say is, but not them. I even mention several times that everyone gets along except for on shipping war threads, though these can be seen as just hot-headed debating (that includes me). Also, note the monkey pic posted in response, which could be taken as calling Kataangers monkeys.

    Katara's smiling was present throughout her speech. When she finished talking she had this sort of of shy look on her face, right before Aang said he might not come back. Avatarspirit doesn't have this screen, this is the best I could come up with.

    When she started to say "of course you will" she was not smiling.

    You can see in her eyes that even she isn't entirely sure. She's always had her faith in him, right from the intro, but up to this point she's always cared immensely for him. Now, Katara's face afterwards

    says concern and worry because Aang just got through saying he might not come back. If anything, it's because Aang said what he did that she has this look. There are several other places within the show where Katara will change her mind about something because Aang said it was ok. (the fire nation festival, going to see the earth king are just two of the examples).

    Zutarians in general however seem to think that one second look means Katara will fall in love with Zuko and not Aang, after Katara herself said Aang's growing up and let the audience know she sees him differently. Zutarians in general also LOVE ignoring Katara comforting Aang in the end.

    Granted she does this often, but would she willingly go to him if he did something she truly hated? I did not say that Katara loves him because of that look. Such could be seen like that because have we ever seen Katara look at Aang like that before?

    That's what I thought.

    And calling me single-minded is a direct insult.

This show screams Kataang, and Aang, Katara, and ZUKO continue to KILL the Zutara ship over and over and over. It's Kataang, nothing else. The END.

    she was smiling before he kissed her. the whole "it's a war she can't smile" thing falls apart right there.

    and for someone who goes around posting pics calling zutarians irrational and delusional, you seem pretty convinced that katara looking depressed and worried after being kissed by aang is somehow absolute proof that she's in love with him. you're just as single-minded as the ones you're poking fun at.
    First, I must state that the pic wasn't intended to be a directed insult. It's just that the whole thing is so obvious and right there in the show l I never said Zutarians were irrational land delusional. Some of the stuff some of them say is, but not them. I even mention several times that everyone gets along except for on shipping war threads, though these can be seen as just hot-headed debating (that includes me). Also, note the monkey pic posted in response, which could be taken as calling Kataangers monkeys.

    Katara's smiling was present throughout her speech. When she finished talking she had this sort of of shy look on her face, right before Aang said he might not come back. Avatarspirit doesn't have this screen, this is the best I could come up with.

    When she started to say "of course you will" she was not smiling.

    You can see in her eyes that even she isn't entirely sure. She's always had her faith in him, right from the intro, but up to this point she's always cared immensely for him. Now, Katara's face afterwards

    says concern and worry because Aang just got through saying he might not come back. If anything, it's because Aang said what he did that she has this look. There are several other places within the show where Katara will change her mind about something because Aang said it was ok. (the fire nation festival, going to see the earth king are just two of the examples).

    Zutarians in general however seem to think that one second look means Katara will fall in love with Zuko and not Aang, after Katara herself said Aang's growing up and let the audience know she sees him differently. Zutarians in general also LOVE ignoring Katara comforting Aang in the end.

    Granted she does this often, but would she willingly go to him if he did something she truly hated? I did not say that Katara loves him because of that look. Such could be seen like that because have we ever seen Katara look at Aang like that before?

    That's what I thought.

    And calling me single-minded is a direct insult.

    Well, I support Kataang so obviously I agree with Atu_1.

    PS. I have nothing against Zutarians, just Zutara (nobody said I had but I'm just stating it)

    And people shouldn't insult each other, that's not what this is about.

    a) if you're posting a pic that insults zutarians, you're insulting zutarians. you can't absolve yourself of responsibility just because you didn't draw the pic. you're using it and that makes the statement yours.

    b) katara shows concern for aang. she cares about him, that's been there from the beginning. you're claiming that this somehow supports kataang. you can worry about someone without being in love with them

    c)i've never claimed her expression means anything in particular, i've never said she hated the kiss, i've said it was an ambiguous reaction that can be interpreted in different ways, none of which prove anything. my claim is that anyone who says it "obviously meant..." whatever they think it meant, is just speculating and pushing their own interpretations as "obvious" truths.

    d)i'm not ignoring katara comforting aang at the end, i just don't see it as relevant. again, you don't have to be in love with someone to comfort them. e) i didn't mean to offend you by calling you single-minded, but you had just posted "It's Kataang, nothing else. The END."

    I wasn't offended, just stating that that was or should be seen as such, or the pic could be seen as such. The post before it set it up for me. I usually take advantage of lines that set up pictures or jokes, almost like if someone says something is a conspiracy and someone will post the "its a conspiracy" pic. Now the comforting doesn't exactly support Kataang, but it helps in some ways, if not for that up to this point Kataang is more likely then Zutara, but with Zuko joining the group it has somewhat of a chance. But since Aang's love for her is so focused upon and shown that it's with the love of his lost people, its likely to win out in the end. I won't state something as an obvious truth, but if something's there, its there, like Katara seeing Aang differently now. Not sure how much differently it is, but it is different. And that sentence I wrote was a result of my hot-headed mode at the time.

    I agree with Atu, but that's probably because I prefer Kataang

    There's this one thing I just want to say: Katara and Aang have a real bond I think, you see the effect of one on the other. Most of the time, Aang is the only one to change Katara's mind, and vice versa. On top of that, they trust eachother fully. No one can deny they have a strong friendship, and that in combination with Katara's comment "You're not that lil goofy kid I met in the iceberg anymore. What im trying to say is.. Im proud of you." makes Kataang plausible.

    The thing is her saying "I'm proud of you" makes Kataang opponents see that as motherly, while Kataang proponents see that as a line that anyone could say to anyone. For example a guy could have a crush on a girl or vice-versa, and they could tell that person after or before they did something they think is incredible that they're proud of them.

    Hmm, interesting... though it could be that it was visible to everyone and only Katara looked up at it. But if only Katara could see it, that's another nail in the coffin for Zutara. Or more accurately, another hole in the hull of that ship.

    It was actually about the first part. She doesnt see him like a little kid anymore but like a guy that has to save the world from selfdestruction

    No matter how much i'd like to believe that, I looks like she wasn't the onlyone.. Sokka flew in the direction of the flash.. But ofcourse that could be an misinterpetation, maybe he went to where Katara was pointing.
