Without getting into truly overly analytical details, World War II involved warfare on a world wide scale. The war in Avatar is taking place world wide.

I was just being stupid. :p I deleted the original message, actually, because soon after posting it, I realized it was spam and had no purpose other than that... Nor did it have any real relevance. As for World War 1 "inspiring" World War 2, I won't get into that. ;p

No, I look beyond the bias you Westerners have against Hitler I'm willing to acknowledge in him certain characteristics that I admire.

    You Westerners? *backs away o.o*

I really don't have much of an opinion of Hitler except that he must have really disliked Jewish people. Few people can truthfully admit that they don't dislike a whole group of people. Hitler just went a little farther with his hate than most others.

Why should I hate him? I didn't even know him personally. I'm not saying I approve, nor am I saying he deserves to rot. I'm just saying I don't know exactly what he was thinking, so I can't judge him.

An open mind! What a rarity these days!

A lot of Westerners have an open mind. We're just misrepresented. And then there is the fat lazy kind who believes everything that is told to them.

No matter where you are, you have to do the thinking for yourself instead of just eating everthing up.

    Also, Avatar rox my sox.

And not just Westerners! Note my mention of Pakistanis who hate Jews just because of what the Zionists did.

    So basically,

Fire Nation's an empire and a monarchy.

Earth Kingdom's a ... kingdom, but it represents the bureaucracy more, I think ... *thinks to The Serpents Pass with passports and all*

Water Tribes are ... tribes. An old yet peaceful and serene way of life.

And the Air Nomads are like Buddhist monks ... with their nirvanas and Avatar States and all.

And no Muhammad did not kill of his home city! I'm a Muslim, I know that! He conquered Mecca, forgave its citizens and cleansed the Kabbah by destroying the idols there. The total blood spilt in the conquest of Mecca was when a handful of rag-tag Meccans attacked one of the flanks of his army, and another few Meccans who had abused Islam and the Muslims entirely too much to be forgiven (less than 10 in all, I believe)! What on Earth gave you the idea that he killed of all the Meccans?

You should gain your information from other sources then your surrounding people (even your country). I've had a lot of arguements with Turkish people about Ataturk being responsible for the genocide of the Armenian people. Guess what? He was taught at school that the overwhelmingly amount of proof pointing in the direction of Ataturk's horrible decision was set up by the Armenian people themselfs to destroy Turkey's reputation among some other reasons they would've had. As you can see, the amount of information being changed and reformed is considerable. Even propaganda, considered to be banned by now, is having it's prime at the moment.

All I'm saying is that you should take matters into your own hands instead of accepting what people feed you...

I hope I haven't insulted you in any way, since these subjects are considered to be very sensitive.

I'm really tired now, so I'm off to bed (I'm from The Netherlands (3:45 am...)). I'll cya guys later!

That's insane! Just because the Allies destroyed three empires and blamed the war entirely on Germany and essentially destroyed its economy and military, not to mention failed to acknowledge Italy and Japan well in creation of the Treaty of Versaille, and brought about the Great Depression, and left France ravaged and burned, doesn't mean that it caused WWII.
    You forgot the Bolsheveik Revolution.

Ooh, yeah. And in turn the Cold War.

Oh hell, why not just blame it all on Hitler Chamberlain and Lenin's mothers for giving birth to them?

Hmmm...... I'll just say how this is similar to Avatar. Maybe this is why Roku warned Aang to treat the fire nation well after the war ended. He may have been afraid of another war.

Somehow I also think that that was the precursor to his forgiving Zuko.

Right now for Dark_Aquatus' sake, here's the Wikipedia link which shows that Muhammad did not kill the citizens of his home city. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conquest_of_Mecca#Aftermath

Here's a quote from there for those who don't want to go read:

    Wikipedia wrote:

The people assembled at the Ka'aba, and Muhammad delivered the following address:
"There is no god but Allah. He has no associate. He has made good His promise that He held to his bondman and helped him and defeated all the confederates. Bear in mind that every claim of privilege, whether that of blood or property is abolished except that of the custody of the Ka'aba and of supplying water to the pilgrims. Bear in mind that for any one who is slain the blood money is a hundred camels. People of Quraish, surely God has abolished from you all pride of the time of ignorance and all pride in your ancestry, because all men are descended from Adam, and Adam was made of clay."

Then Muhammad turning to the people said:

"O ye Quraish, what do you think of the treatment that I should accord you?"

And they said, "Mercy, O Prophet of Allah. We expect nothing but good from you."

Thereupon Muhammad declared: "I speak to you in the same words as Joseph spoke to his brothers. This day there is no reproof against you; Go your way, for you are free."[5] Muhammad's prestige grew after the surrender of the Meccans. Embassies from all over Arabia came to Medina to submit to him.

Ten people were ordered to be killed: 1. Ikrimah ibn Abi-Jahl 2. Habbar bin Aswad 3. Abdullah bin Sa'd Abi Sarah 4. Miqyas Subabah Laythi 5. Huwairath bin Nuqayd 6. Abdullah Hilal 7. four women who had been guilty of murder or other offences or had sparked off the war

However, they were not all killed; at least Ikrimah lived to adopt Islam and fight in future battles among Muslim ranks.

10 people in all. And not all of them were killed. He did not murder a whole city, mate!
