OMFG! is this tru!!!??? i'll admit the guy's pretty darn cute, but i just don't see Zuko in him. he's face is a bit too "sweet" for the role. on imbd The Last Airbender isn't listed in his filmography.

If he could pull off a good mean face, i could see him as Zuko. I seen him in the abcFamily movie Picture This.
AHAHAHAHA! that one w/ ashley tisdale? (no wonder why he looked familiar) i still think that there's someone out there who would be better for the role. i'm not saying he's a bad choice, but it's OK...
Yeah haha. Hey there was nothing else on so i watched it Yeah there is definitely someone better than him. I'm just saying if he was picked I wouldn't mind as long as he can act like Zuko.

I totally think Leading Actress and Motion Picture of the Year is completely out of reach. Completely. this movie wouldn't even come remotely close in the same "field" as past Oscar noms. and i dont think Supporting Actor will even get that far.

out of the pushing it ones i only see the who ever plays Iroh will get a nod. If it is good first of all. It might be the biggest bomb of the year like speed racer. But link in the first star wars obi wan got nominated didnt win. Even if the film bombs or is brilliant my i bet all my postivites will get the nod

i know a great (Oscar worthy) movie when i see or hear about one, or a potential blockbuster. and i admit that The Last Airbender isn't going to blow others out of the water like 300, Tranformers, Iron Man, and Dark Knight. It'll definitely be fan-driven and an average "good" movie to see during the summer. I don't mean to shoot down anyone's dreams of Avatar stretching for an Oscar nom (or anything similar to some degree), but keep on dreamin.

i agree as good as you think it is. its not a award winner or anything new. people who already watched the show aren't going to want to see a butchered live action version of the show. cuz honestly i wish if they were doing a movie they should do a different plot. as marrylarry said who wants to see a butchered summary of the show?

PearlLilies i understand but i still think who ever is going to play iroh will get a nod. Plus some of my postivite nods but nothing else.

I could foresee the movie being nominated and winning the musical score category. It may also win other technical awards. I doubt it will win any acting awards. Fantasy films usually do not produce acting nominees. The LOTR trilogy, the archetype for all fantasy films, produced only one acting nomination (Ian McKellen). I imagine "The Last Airbender" will be a success similar to the "Harry Potter" and "Chronicles of Narnia" movies. I would be satisfied with that outcome.

I'm really relying on Mike and Brian to making this movie the best it can be. I honestly think we shouldn't be worried with them helping MKnight in this, they will know what's best.
