    It's not that I think the movie will be horrible, I'm looking forward to it. I just dislike how they made an animated movie for an animated show that was basically a summary of the show.. it served no purpose. The Avatar movie will be different because it's going to be shown through live action instead of animation, which will give it a different aspect which might be good or quite possibly, bad.

    nick and disney are really jumping on getting animation in to live action

    Nick has
    Avatar and Dora the explorer being made

    And disney is making Alice in wonderland into live action. they are making something else but i forget what it is

    Successful? Sales say modest at best, and critics are a whole other story. Not to mention the movies had their own story lines separate from the their respective series. Avatar's movie on the other hand is an adaptation of the 1st season. Making an animated movie would basically be a summarized version of the exact same stuff we've seen before.

    The whole point of an adaptation is to present a story in a different light. And lets face it. Live-action movies do way better in the box office than cartoons.

    so basically the movie is the butured version of each season? i thought it was going to have its own plot. whats the point of it then if nothing is new?

    The point is showing the story from a different aspect. Animation and live action are two totally different elements to screenwork; they each have their own qualities. For the same reason books are made into movies too, to look at a piece of work from a different angle. Also, this movie will quite possibly attract more people into seeing the show and falling in love with it like all of us.

    John Cena could play a generic Fire Nation soldier. Honestly, there are no characters that I can think of that Cena could play. I know most people would suggest he play The Boulder, but Cena is not the correct build for The Boulder. He is too stocky. Maybe he could play Chit Sang, but that would be in the third movie...if Chit Sang is even in it. To be honest, why I am talking about John Cena getting a role in the movie?

    LOL, professional wrestlers (WWE wrestlers) playing ATLA characters... The Boulder is voiced by Mick Foley (wrestler) and is based on The Rock (Dwayne Johnson (Former wrestler turned Hollywood actor)), so maybe they could get some wrestlers for some roles in "The Blind Bandit"... Okay, now I sound stupid...

    This may sound REALLY typical, but I wouldn't mind seeing Hugh Jackman play Zhao... He has the... Voice, and of course, the side-burns (Well, as Wolverine anyway)...
