When this movie was anounced, I was on the 50/50 line, meaning it could be good or it could be terrible. It could be terrible because the success track record for film adaptations isn't exactly in our favor, and it could be good because Shymalan seemed really enthused about making this movie in every interview we've gotten so far, stating he's willing to devote all his time and energy in this trilogy for the next 6 years.

Now, me's a little worried since he's going to be producing several other films over the course of the next 3(+) years. This means he's going to be diverting his full attention away from "The Last Airbender," which might cause him to lose focus on the film.

Guess he couldn't go that long without writing one of his own stories. Go figure.

I really hope its not going to be dissappointing like that dragonball movie is bound to be

I just wanted to add my two cents to who I think should be cast in some of the roles :

Katara : Qorianka Kilcher, shes was in that film 'the New World' with Colin Farrel and Christian Bale as Pocahontas. Shes an amazing actress, and I also think shes got the right ethnicity for a Water Tribe member.

Sokka : Now I know there a rumours that the part has gone to some Greek guy, but I think Taylor Lautner would be good. He was Sharkboy in Sharkboy and Lavagirl and hes playing Jacob Black in the new Twilight film, he has that native american look going.

Zuko : Arron Yoo, he was in Disturbia with Shia LeBouf and in 21 with Kevin Spacey, because when I imagined Zuko he was always Asian.

Azula : Now, Im not really that sure on this one, but I thought of Katie Leung, who played Cho Chang in Harry Potter.

Now i know you might disagree, but what do you think?

i also think Christian Bale would make a kickass Zhao.
