The trailer was okay, I'm not too crazy about it since it was only about 30 seconds. But I did like what I did see, except for the bending movements. Like someone else said, they looked pretty cheesy.

As a wise soothsayer once said, "At least the special effects [will be] decent." ILM never disappoints. Those soldiers falling over the cliff were a nice touch. Though I could have done without the arm waving for the airball. That was a bit laughable, which brings me to my #1 concern for this movie: will the bending moves look cool or terrible? Sure it looks great in a cartoon, but live-action?... But if a group of real grown men can somehow manage to sound badass pulling off the slogan, "Yo, Joe!" while wearing tight spandex suits, I'll be slightly less skeptic for TLA...and that's a big 'if'. |
It does depend on where you're looking, I agree, but I'm the kind of guy that likes to 'look at the whole picture.' But I'm not too picky.
On a sidenote, this little article has some interesting news. The reporter explains how the crew is handling Appa and mentions that the Spirit Oasis is located inside an ice cave and even claims they walked through the Northern Air Temple set.
It's possible the reporter was absent-minded (as evidenced by some poor grammar) or had a brain fart when writing that and mistakenly put "Northern" instead of "Southern," but if not, then we could be seeing the inventing father & son duet in this movie, as well as a war balloon.

This is just a thought, but wouldn't it be cool for the movie to begin with Aang running away from Gyatso and geting caught in the storm? Like, it shows Aang writing a note to Gyatso is the very beginning and as he's running away the credits start to play like the actors names and stuff with him getting caught in the storm in the background. Then when the opening credits are done it goes to Katara and Sokka. I just think that's a cool idea, don't you? |

that's brilliant. it reminds me of bourne identitys hazy flashbacks. it can't be to detailed tho. it can't reveal that hes the avatar. its still got to be a mystery for the people who haven't watched the show. |

i think Aang looks competely wrong he shouldn't have that hair chin thing and from what i saw Aang looked wrong he is suppose to have a happy go lucky attitude that didn't look like a happy go lucky attitude |
It was probably just for that scene, I mean with his surroundings and everything the whole mood was kind of intense. If you know what I mean, that prolly doesn't make sense.
Whilst I was viewing the trailer, I assumed that the footage was from the FN attack on the Northern Air Temple. I think that is the likeliest explanation.
*edit* I am referring to the attack that occurred during episode 1-17, "The Northern Air Temple."
