That... doesn't inspire confidence, in 4 months they recorded everything, the rest of the year is for the extra CGs, which of course are a huge deal of a movie, but still, 4 months of filming.......

Thank you! I felt the same thing when I read that. I mean come on, four months? What exactly is gonna be in this movie?

I realise that trying to recreate the hybrid creatures and extending scenery etc might take a bit, but i agree that 4 months seems WAY too short for a film attempting to be more than a kid's-flick

IDK, Men In Black only took five months to shoot.

To me, that four weeks, makes a difference. I'm not saying it should be like HP's where it takes six months to film, but four months seems so short. Five months would have been okay for me too. But 16 weeks for a movie doesn't seem long enough for a story like Avatar's.

This movie is more about satisfying the fans club, and doing some cliche with all the avatar's world, I dont expect some impressive and dramatic plays with this actualy cast. Dbz, power rangers, transformers, resident evil. Most of the films are suicidal for the actors, but M.Night can done some masterpieces sometimes. But, I believe ...

I went to see Transformers 2 earlier today (which, btw, is an absolutely incredible movie) and the preview for Avatar got the most buzz by far. A little girl sitting behind me (who talked through the ENTIRE film) was excited because she had an action figure of Aang (lol), and I heard someone cry out, "He's an Airbender!" or something.

Where are Katara's hair loopies? I am saddened.

And I hope Mr. Noah Ringer isn't that serious looking throughout the entire movie.

Oh, the loopies are there! I had to look really close to see them. They look okay- the clothes are a little different but they're keeping the main things, like the hairstyles. I feel the same about Noah's expression; I hope he doesn't always look that serious either, since of course Aang is supposed to be a cheerful, enthusiatic kid.

Funny idea just came to me. In the 3rd movie, have the voice actors of the gang from the show make a cameo appearance by dressing as the characters they play while waiting in line for the Ember Play. Then have them mock the movie gang's 'cosplay' outfits as they walk by. Dee in an Appa costume with a Momo puppet would be classic.

Not that the 3rd movie will have the play in it or anything. Just a small comedic moment for the fans.

Those pictures don't even look good. Zuko is the best. His scar scares me, but you can barely see it. Katara is OK. Aang's arrow tattoo really should be more blue, and more prominent. Sokka is just an all-around disappointment.

People do realize that having a big sky blue tattoo would look ridiculous IRL, right? Anyway...it's gonna be awesome looking when he goes AS.

Shouldn't Aang be played by an asian kid? And Katara and Sokka be played by african-americans or native americans or people with darker skin.

I had this same issue with the dragonball movie and goku.

I think Aang should be played by whoever is most capable of portraying Aang. Noah Ringer is a martial arts prodigy, and he actually resembles Aang. Aang would actually look odd if he were portrayed by a stereotypical East Asian kid.
