disregarding the quality of the trailer...When I saw trailer airing in the theater...I noticed a positive reaction in the crowd. By the end, there where whispers of "airbenders" or "waterbending" and such...from what I could tell, quite a few people at the theater were familiar with the show...and that kind of foreshadows a possibly good box office result.. |
Hey, here's a link to an article that will clear up some questions about the scale of time and Aang as the avatar. http://www/mtv/com/movies/news/articles/1614497/story.jhtml It is confirmed that there will be the 100 year war, but it is a bit cryptic about Aang, athough I'm thinking it is just an error on the writer's part and not fully understanding the story themselves. (fire tribe, lol) Anyway, it claims nothing besides the kiddie humor has been changed, so if that is correct I'm happy.
Oh, also it looks like Dev had no idea what kind of role he was taking on.

(had phone call, so posting allloooot later) LOL okay above comment was made having seen teaser once and days ago (also ive been at work fro 10.5 hours so im dead tired ) Fixing one - they do say Myth and (i cannot believe i forgot this!!!) he is last of his kind (first line), so they are going have genocide off cam, and most likely have 100 yr in ice berg etc (tired geek mind had mental freak when typing above lol) Also teaser could have NOOOOOO relevance to whats in the movie; put together entirely as set up to state core story concept. BUT i do think possible that above statement bout removing running away is likely, especially as they are trying to cut down time. I imagine prob take place as opener with Attack, Aang running and the getting frozen with title spequence possibly statring from there (frozen Aaang in water and/or montange of war) leading to Katara and Sokka in boat (resolving Aang story from The Storm) |

Wow i saw the avatar trailer today!!! It actually looked good and i'm excited now! I was really surprised to see it too! When it first came on i was thinking it was avatar but i wasn't sure but it was! It was really cool! Although I'm not quite sure what was up with his arrow, i think it was a bunch of little tattoos! But they made it work! It should be a good movie! |

I wasn't crazy about the tattoo either, and I'm still getting used to it. But like Blind_Bandit said, they made it work.

According to lastairbenderfans.com, Last Airbender the movie is done with filming and it only took them four months to do so. The rest of the year will be spent on special effects and so on. What do you guys think? I mean four months? It was so short/quick...could things really have gone that smoothly? |

makes ya wonder how much CGI is going to be in this movie. I guess M.Night was right when he said that The Last Airbender will be his Star wars. |

That... doesn't inspire confidence, in 4 months they recorded everything, the rest of the year is for the extra CGs, which of course are a huge deal of a movie, but still, 4 months of filming....... |
