Night Shyamalan's live action adaption of the popular anime series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, is preparing to start production in Pennsylvania (where he makes all of his movies) this June, 2008, which could conceivably put it in a position to come out around the time that James Cameron's Avatar (no subtitle) is scheduled next summer. I honestly know nothing about the anime series, but from what I can tell, it is set in a magical world divided into lands devoted to the four elements (air, earth, fire, water), and monks who devote themselves to the powers of each (as well as martial arts) are involved in a war amongst each other. If I'm horribly off in that description, I'm sure someone will tell us!

wtf why are all these noobs asking about getting parts in the movie?
theres no possible way you'd be able to get a part if yu had the requirements like an acting career a manager or maybe even the ability to act (tha'd be asking to much for most people) ect
as for the user above can't wait to see you on the missing poster at walmart

yea, except most of em want be Azula or Katara. And I doubt they're gonna be doing a nation-wide search for extras, so unless they live close to the filming location, they have little chance of that too.

Aallllrriiiigghhtt. well i'm not saying that we will all be casted but i think its a great experience and you never know. Why not just try? I definitely think my friend will be considered if she gets the chance; she's a great actress and looks a lot like Azula. And she really wants it. And we both live in Pennsylvania, so it would be convenient. And before everyone starts saying how stupid I am for saying what STATE i live in...i don't care. AND i have nothing more to say so i'll leave with a bit of my youthful hope forever extinguished by the bitterly disencouraging posters on this forum.

I agree with Avatar Hero why not just try. I mean I love acting and I want this more than anything in my whole life not just for fame or whatever. And I also live in PA in Philly actually. But I'm still not giving up and you shouldn't either.
