I am pretty sure that Zuko does not believe in killing anyone unless it is absolutely necessary. This is what got him into trouble with his father to begin with.

However, I have a question for everyone... has Zuko ever been in a situation where he has actually killed someone?

I think that maybe he has once, but I'm not sure if he actually killed the guy. That was in defense of Aang. In "The Blue Spirit" there's a guard who goes after Aang and Zuko comes up behind him, grabs him and throws him off the big guard wall.

I couldn't think of any others. Let me know what you think.

Well...since avatar is on nick (grr..) I highly doubt they would show any character killing someone. Thing is...you don't really know, because like in the storm, the soldiers just drop into the ground when they're hit. No sign of blood or anything.

He didn't learn earth bending because he has to learn the different arts in order. So he has to learn water bending before earth bending. Did you see what happened to aang when he tried to learn firebending first. he ended up burning katara.
What i want to know is is aang is an airbending master, then how come he doesn't know how to create a hurricane? This question might seem random and impossible but in the episode imprissoned, he said he wished he learned how to create hurricanes.

As JJ said in one of the last episodes (16 I think) fire is the most difficult to learn and the most destrutive. As we saw in the episode Aang was a bit to 'eager' to learn firebending, mixed with the 'fun' kid we've seen so far you can probably guess he wouldn't control it as well as Roku or a past fire bending live would.

That brings up another point, I read in another thread like Aang can't call on spirts past Roku. Well if he couldn't how did he manage to bend the water in the Southern pole in Episode 2? His avatar spirt was 'alive' (the arrow[s] were glowing) yet we didn't see a another person like we did in "avatar roku" (Winter solstise part 2) when Roku was seen firebending.

was that sarcasm? that was sarcasm -_- right^^ I'm sure people did die...just we don't see them dieing. I don't know if that's a good thing, because things seem alittle..artificial. Of course, it is a kids network. Not saying I enjoy violence though. I'm not psycho!

Nah. Remember, up to this point we have been led kto believe that the only Airbender left is Aang, and that all of the others were killed. Another question is, did he channel Avatar Kyoushi(the female Avatar of the Southern Water Tribes, not sure if I got her name correct) when he ran away from the Southern Air Temple and almost drowned? And how about when he saved Katara and Sokka and that old ship captain from a similar ordeal? Those are some serious questions.

    Question:

Somebody (I think two somebodies) mentioned that Iroh's statement to Zuko at the end of the Siege, "A man needs his rest" is also something that he says in the first episode. I reviewed the first eppy but I dodn't find that-- I was kind of skimming it though, so maybe I just missed it. Can somebody tell me when/where Iroh says this?

I'm not entirely sure of this because I've only seen the first episode once, but I believe it's in the part where Zuko first spots the glowing light from the iceberg encasing Aang. Iroh suggests him rest since he hasn't since the first sighting. (( I think... ))

What are gender politics are like in the Fire Nation? The Fire soldiers we encounter are mostly males, yet Lord Ozai favors his daughter, Azula over his son, Prince Zuko.

Isn't that just symbolism that "Zuko has become a man?"

Thanks Katuko, you were right on the money! Iroh says, "I'm going to bed... a man needs his rest." (Then he tries to convince Zuko to get some sleep too, which of course he ignores.)

    Kazzmann wrote:

Yes, I think that too. Iroh put his hand on Zuko's shoulder and had that big smile on his face when he said it at the end.
