Is Katara or Zuko more powerful? It's hard to compare waterbenders and firebenders because they're stronger at different times, but one of them must be more powerful.

According to Nick.com, Waterbenders have the potential to be the strongest.

Not in the Avatar world. There rendition of elements is based on the four elements of European legends, not Asian mythology.

I don???t think it???s like everyone thinks. As of now, Azula appears to be the heiress of the Fire Nation???s throne. She???s always been favored above Zuko, so either she???s risen above the sexist laws of her country or there are none.

Also, keep in mind that during Admiral Zhao???s (RIP until reborn) speech he says ???the sons and daughters of fire,??? indicating women were present in the troops.

Good point, but we haven't exactly seen much of the fire nation itself... or much of the earth nation for that matter as well

If you look at the festible in the "Deserter" every was kind of waering masks and all we have seen of the earth nation is where Haru was, and Kyoshi island (I can't think of anymore, oh well) but if you look at the series to far women have played an important role so I think that there are a lot of firebending women we just haven't had a chance to see them

Here's interesting thought. We know the arrows on Aang's body glow (as well as his eyes) when his past 'lives' are active or he's in the spirt world [and we seem his body in the physical world}. But what about the other sybols? What what 'light' up besides the eyes for Fire, earth, water? They don't exactly have anything to tell that they are an water, earth or fire bender. I'll [re]watch the southern air temple.

I think that it may only be there eyes, unless they had a tattoo of significance, I looked at the pic at firebender.com and I didn't see anything glow but the eyes well have to see I guess

HAIRDO question- this is really stupid but I gotta know-

OK, so Sokka, Aang and Zuko all have at least part of their heads shaved... right? (I hope Aang isn't really bald... and I know Zuko used to have lots of hair.) How come Sokka has a visible hair line, but Zuko and Aang DON'T? I'm obviously watching way too much Avatar because this is really bugging me.

C'mon... somebody take this question on! Also I have another BIG one...

In the Siege, Iroh says something to Yue like "You have been touched by the Moon Spirit." WAIT A MINUTE. Iroh wasn't there when Yue was talking about her past! She did that while riding on Appa. So, how did he know? Did he just figure it out because he's so in tune with the spirit world? OR did Iroh manage to untie Zuko and Zuko somehow told him? (I kind of doubt that, but it is possible.) Or did I miss something?

about Iroh knowing Yu was touched by the moon spirit, I assumed it was because her hair was white. How many teenagers do you see with already white hair? That's an elderly thing, and probably only seen in young water tribe girls when they've been touched by a the moon spirit.

and about sokka's hairline, I think it's probably because his hair's growing back in. Sokka needs another shave. Better question; how did anyone in Avatar get a shaved head? Did they have electric razors in this lost age or something?

My question has to do with this website, as opposed to the show. I had questions to do with the show but I don't remember them. Anyway, at the top of the screen in the "personal" box where it displays my icon, screen name, and number of messages and updates it says "Level 1 15%" and in my profile it says my rank is "Weatherman" What . . . the heck . . . is that!?!?!? It's like i'm in a video game I don't even know i'm in. What rank is this part of? How did I become part of it? 15% what? Level 1 of what? What's achieved at the final level? What is this and again, how did I become part of it?

Why is Nickelodeon releasing the single DVD with just the first 4 chapters? Will they ever come out with the whole first season in a set?

ah, what i think is that the dvd is Avatar's debut. this dvd only includes episodes one and two. it is 54 minutes long, it would have to be almost double to show the first four episodes. you will have better luch recording the episodes that you would buying the season dvd, (when it comes out) it makes it tons easier if you have tivo and a dvd recorder you can make your own dvd's (thats what i do) and you dont have to wait.

How did you come up with 54 minutes? The DVD will contain 4 episodes totalling about 95 minutes. It will contain Behind-the-scenes Kung Fu stuff, as well as a trailer (for season 2?). That's all I got though

Well I almost to suggest it (sorry The_Baffler) but Nickelodeon wants money. They will be releasing a box set of all the episodes after all the single dvds (probably each with just 4 eps each) have been released. The box set will contain extras (maybe interviews with the cast, behind-the-scenes, etc.) and there will be no announcement to the public of the box set until all the previous DVDs have been in stores for a while.

Nope. No word from Nick yet.

Yes they do. Inactive threads get cleared out after they haven't been posted in in some amount of time (I'm not sure, maybe a month or two).
