How did the Fire Nation get so strong? AFter a century of warfare their resources shoudl be depleted.

What happened to the Southern Water tribe? Is that all that's left of them or are they scattered?

Why doesn't the Earth Kingdom just launch a massive counterattack, they have the numbers?

What rank is Aang? He can't be an Airbenidng master already he's still young.

According to Chinese belief, metal is the fifth element. Do you think there will be metal benders in the future. (This last one is speculation).

To further answer your question, you would be right about the elements if Avatar was based COMPLETELY on Chinese belief but it is a mix of Chinese and Hinduism (India). In the Chinese belief the five elements are Fire,Water,Air,Wood, and Metal but in Hinduism the elements as we all know are Fire,Water,Earth, and Air. The belief of the Avatar is also from Hinduism, it is believed that the spirit of the earth or a God is reincarnated as a human being. So to finally answer your question, more than likely no we will not see metal benders or wood benders for that matter. Althought in my opinion both would be cool to see just not on the Avatar there would be too many unanswerable questions i.e. Where are their nations? Where have they been? Why has it taken so long for them to be discovered? etc. I hope this was helpful in some way

"How were there ever any Airbenders to begin with? If all the Airbenders were taught in the temples by monks, I would assume that they could not marry. Am I to assume that the Airbenders go back into "normal society" once their training is over? If so, does that mean that there was once an Air Nation? I've only ever heard of the temples where the benders trained."

This is a good question i do not however think there is much of an indication that bending is passed down genetically, the show is fairly ambigious as to how someone acquires the ability to bend.. It is good logic to think that the monks could not get married, but again i don't think that was ever stated, and Ang himself has dreams of one day marrying, so that makes me feel that the term monk may only be applied to them because they live in a very large temple. If anyone has any other thoughts feel free to add

There's alot of speculation about this city.

It's the Earth Kingdom capital, and will probably be in season finale of Book 2: Earth.

There's a lot of question about how to spell it. I guess it doesn't really matter, but it sounds to me (from what it has been talked about so far in the show) that it is Ba Seng Se. But yes, it is the capital of the Earth Kingdom, and is probably ruled by a King like Omashu. The Zhangs and the Gan jins now live there

And Freakish, did you read my other post at all?

Maybe they use kings like mayors or governors, with a king for every large city or territory

This is probably going to be a long post, so bear with me. It will also contain spoilers from "The Siege of the North"

First, I want to say that I LOVE this show!!!

Second, If anyone has any information on the next season, please tell me.

    Okay now for my questions/info:

Who will Aang's Firebending master be, now that Jong Jong has disappeard? I'm pretty sure that Aang will go back to King Boomi for his Earthbending (I'd also like to point out that Aang has never Earthbended, he's done everything else).

Was anyone else freaked out by Ko, the Face-taking spirit? I was scared to death of that thing. And was it just me, or did the Fire lord's daughter look like the painted woman's face that Ko was using? And why is this the first time we've heard of Zuko's sister?

I've read some of the other posts on this forum, and they've said that Princess Huai will be in the second season, but how is that possible? Didn't she become the moon spirit?

Thanks for not killing me over this long post, guys.

    Jason
