Season 3 Discussion Thread....SPOILERS allowed...

    I don't really care if they have a guy or a girl win, I just hope the winner will be someone who'll use the money for something useful. Pretty much why I don't want either Izzy or Lindsay to win, since they'll both just go spend the money on something stupid. My current hopes for the winner is either DJ, Cody, Bridgette, or Gwen.

    Agreeing with all the Noah talk. I hope he makes it far, but a winner of any season of this show he shouldn't be. I'll only support him winning if he's up against someone I hate.

    ya know, as much as I want Lindsay to win, I almost don't care as long as they FINALLY have someone in the top 2 that I like. I mean, so far it's just been characters I'm not really into that much...not that I dislike them I'm just not all that into them. Heck, the top 4 for both seasons, minus Heather, was mostly made of a characters I don't care that much about. seriously, lets see some characters I like in the top 2, or at least 3 or 4. Like Lindsay, Cody, Noah, Heather, Bridgette, DJ, Harold, Leshawna, or Tyler.

    And if they were in this season: Geoff, Justin, or Trent. (I have no opinion on Sierra or Alejandro at this point.)

    That's all I'm asking...put a character in the top 2 that I at least have some interest in.

    I just became interested in this show last week. I watched every season one episode on youtube in less than two days, haha. Anyway, I didn't really care for the formula of the episodes in season one, but I've heard that season two is much different. I was just thinking though, if this season is about music and jive, how do you guys think they'll do the theme song? I think it would be really cool if all the characters had to sing it. I'm kinda disappointed with the characters they chose this season. Noah annoys the crap out of me, and Ezekwal is just boring. Anyway, they took Cake's website down, but I agree with the theory that Duncan will leave because he refuses to sing. This season has 26 episodes in it, which will bring the series up to 80, which passes the 65-episode mark for sydication of a kid's show. Do you guys think that this will be the final season? It must be expensive to produce with all of the voice personalities that they have to pay. Anyway, I hope they don't make this season as predictable as the first, and would you guys say that season 2 is better than season 3.

    Edit: Ezekwal is not even on the cover page of the flipbook, which would lead me to think that he leaves early on. As far as I know there are 17 characters mentioned so far (Owen, Gwen, Bridgette, Allejaro, Harold, Tyler, DJ, Cody, Duncan, Courtney, Lindsay, Sierra, LeShawna, Izzy, Noah, Heather, Ezekwal.) Sorry if some of this was already mentioned. I didn't havve time to read 350 posts. Haha. This just occured to me, maybe 15 + the 2 new campers! They would introduce them later on in the show.

    It's Ezekiel. and Noah and Ezekiel deserve to be in this season since they haven't gotten much coverage in this show.

    No, they deserve to be in the show because they're good characters and fan favorites; the fact that they haven't gotten much coverage is just the reason they're that way.

    Actually, Ezekiel is so much of a nobody that the fanfiction writers are going crazy on him. They've almost created his own fanon personality. What happens if he has a completely different persona than theirs?

    A similar thing with Noah, except he's actually had more than ten lines throughout the seasons. His personality is more rigidly set in canon, but there are still a ton of fanfics that try to put a different perspective on him.

    Not to mention the insane number of fanon pairings that those two have to endure because of their plastic nobody personalities. I can name at least three popular Ezekiel pairings off the top of my head. Six for Noah.

    Still, it would be interesting to see how the fanfiction community reacts to the development of some of these background characters. Are all the Ezzy fans going to explode?

    Exactly my second sentence! The reason they're so popular is BECAUSE the canon hasn't messed with them much yet, leaving them (Ezekiel moreso) entirely up to the fans' devices, some of which may actually be fairly accurate. Although Noah's may be more accurate, since people see him in many different ways, while writers generally agree on Ezekiel.

    Oh man, the fanon pairings. To be honest, I can't see either of them hooking up with anyone. One because they're newbies and neither seem well liked; two because Katie, Sadie, Eva, and Beth are all unavailable in the season; three because Noah's intentionally ambiguous and stereotypical (like it or not), and is on a team with three other guys and one of the few girls still taken (Izzy).

    ^ well sign me up as one of those crazies with a Noah fanon. Heather/Noah is awesomeness! (besides, it's not like he HAS to be on a team with someone he dates.) Either case, I don't necessarily expect anything in regards to H/N but I do really, really, really hope for it. Whatever happens I'm still shipping it with all my heart!

    Okay, I know Wikipedia isn't the most credible source but I found something interesting in it in regards to Alejandro and Heather...

    I personally think they're jumping to conclusions. I'm not sure how "Just you wait." implies anything to do with Alejandro. Okay, so the thought might have crossed my mind especially in regards to her words. They are kind've antagonistic but Alejandro is the main antagonist. I guess maybe if both are acting the villain then there might be some conflict or an understanding between them. OR maybe they might both do their own plotting and scheming without saying two words to each other. But I am kinda interested in how the villain from s1 and the villain from s3 will interact. Maybe Courtney too, but she didn't reach Heather's level of villainy, and Alejandro looks like he could. Whatever it is...I hope it's not a Alejandro/Heather relationship but conflict or alliance. (Preferably conflict...I'd like the keep her relationship and alliance with Noah).

    Either case, I think it's too strong of statement for Wikipedia to base off of that quote from the trailer...unless they know something else...

    Maybe both, he could be eleminated first again but thanks to some circomstances, he could return later like Eva and Izzy in TDI, Courtney, Izzy and Owen in TDM.

    I hope Noah wins. They could have him be a bit nicer, but not too much, so he still stays sarcastic. He could be the guy who is sarcastic and gets annoyed with others easily, but people can still get along with him. I'm also expecting to see him in a conflict with Alejandro possibly. And I don't think he should hook up with anyone, because it would be out of character.

    Yeah, I guess Noah hooking up WOULD be a bit out of character. He's so cynical and pessimistic that he's not going to be impressed with any of the girls in his school, let alone the now-12 girls in the show. Plus, in the event that he does begin to like someone, no one really likes him to our knowledge, friends or otherwise. He's made too many wisecracks about everyone to dissuade any possible girlfriends.

    As for those of you out there who believe Noah is gay well...are they really going to make an outright gay couple on a children's show? One, they'll probably lose a good chunk of their audience immediately due to parental interference. Two, the show might gain a bad rep and prevent many new viewers from coming in. And three, homophobes.

    Yes, the show can subtly hint that Noah is gay but he's not going to openly hook up with a guy while the target audience is 9-14.

    Sian, I never even said the word gay in my post, the key word was "ambiguous". Noah has effeminate behavior and certainly plays up a couple of stereotypes, but nobody here expects him to come out and say it (this isn't Drawn Together after all). For the first part, the only girls that really seem to like him are Izzy and Eva, and I don't think either of those would happen.
