    I like hannah montana, I just am on this more because I'm a big seddie fan, and I wanted to discus Seddie. I don't really have any HM things I wanna discus

    Well they are both about tweens (sort of), both are "living the dream" plots, HM with her pop star life and ICarly with a web show. Both involve a small group of freinds who are both involved in their school lives and the outside of school "dream" project. Both have a "cool" elder, Robbie and Spencer (although Spencer is like 1000% more cool). And both of them are very popular shows for kids and teenagers. So they compare. Obviousely since we are on the ICarly board here, most will post that ICarly is better. And it is.

    Just making a note that this thread was the previous iCarly/HM discussion thread, but has been edited to include all Disney shows, so as not to start more and more threads for each and every show someone might want to compare iCarly to.

    I'm copying this from a previous blog and my original topic that Andrea locked (which is sorta what I was afraid of), but anyway, you say that iCarly is the Nickelodeon equivalent of Hannah Montana, I say it's actually the Nick equivalent of That's So Raven, in my opinion at least. Here are the reasons:

    1. Unlike Hannah Montana and like That's So Raven, iCarly has been dramatic in like half the episodes. For example, iCarly got a sad episode (iWanna Stay with Spencer) around the time That's So Raven got one (Campaign in the Neck), while Hannah Montana didn't get a sad episode until Season 2 (I Want You to Want Me to Go to Florida).

    2. The characters are almost the same:
    Carly = Raven (Free spirited main character)
    Sam = Chelsea (Ditzy best female friend)
    Freddie = Eddie & Cory combined (Slightly dorky but relatively smart male best friend, also kind of annoying on the side)
    Spencer = Victor (Wacky authority figure)
    (Although I think Sam shows more of a Drake from D&J personality, but still)

    3. Both shows have potential ships and one has at least twice as much as the other. For iCarly, it's Carly/Freddie or Sam/Freddie, with Sam/Freddie being the top one and for That's So Raven, it's Chelsea/Eddie or Raven/Eddie, with Raven/Eddie being the top one. While for Hannah Montana, the two ships, Miley/Oliver and Lilly/Oliver have practically the same amount of shippers.

    Sure, Carly and Miley are both famous stars but I think iCarly is more of a That's So Raven kind of show because of these three reasons. But that's just my opinion, what are yours?

    One thing is flawed though, Sam is not ditzy in any way. She's nothing like Chelsea.

    Well, that's true. And I could also be wrong about Eddie being slightly dorky, since he's like obsessed with sports, but there is one thing that Eddie and Freddie have in common (that Oliver and Freddie don't) and that's both of them being the male best friends who don't seem too bothered hanging out with the main female characters, except in some episodes like iFence in iCarly and Members Only in That's So Raven.
