It'll either be Iroh (because he has mastered firebending) or it will be a new character that will also join up with Aang because that's what they did for earthbending.

To all you Fire Lord Zuko activists out there, I'm pretty damn sure the dynasty of Fire Lords is coming to an end. The nations will see them as only bringing pain to the world and demand something be done about them. I don't even think Aang will accept of a looming Fire Lord, even if this one is kinder and doesn't want world domination the position of Fire Lord is about tyranny! A tyrant, either good-heart or cruel, the chance can not be taken when they are the rulers of nations. However, just because I don't believe Zuko will be Fire Lord doesn't mean he won't one day become leader of his people. Not by being the Fire Lord, he'll find power another way. |
yet another thread about this
well i definatly think that iroh will teach aang
IT WILL NOT BE AZULA!
she might just burn him at steak.... i think that at some point somehow that iroh will end up teaching aang to firebend zuko would be far too impatient and probably end up hurting??aang at some point.... so if iroh and zuko were with the gaang??when the teaching was going on??iroh would definatly??be the one doing the it... because iroh has a lot more experiance than zuko and much more patience (which is exactly the kind of teacher aang needs)
and iroh??has never seemed to have any problems with??aang??he is just helping zuko.... because hes nice like that.... so zuko would have to do some serious realizations about capturing the avatar if he were to tag along with iroh while he was teaching aang.... because i dont think zuko wants aang as an enemy he just thinks he needs to because he thinks??that he needs to capture him to restore his "honor" and regain his place back with his family.... even though i highly??doubt that it will be even slightly like the life he once??knew... but he wont let himself believe that and is holding on to this??pointless scrap of hope that is bringing the avatar to his father....??????????
so in conclusion to my overwelmingly long rant.... i think that iroh will teach aang but zuko will have to realize that capturing the avatar wont bring back his old life and he should give up on it and settle his differences with aang and help save the world....

Yeah, you know, I wouldn't be surprised if it DID turn out to be Zuko, and possibly Iroh also, now that I think about it... Out of ALL the characters in Avatar, I think it'd be pretty safe to say that Zuko is the one who changed the most, and not only changed, but changed the most DRAMATICALLY. At the beginning of Season 1, he was a rash, hot-tempered, spoiled young prince who was willing to do pretty much anything to capture the Avatar and regain his honor in the eyes of his father. And then, life as a common villager, and then later a refugee, changed him...opened his eyes to the ways of the world as he'd never seen before. By the time the episode 'Zuko Alone' rolled around, we see him bonding with a local village boy, and helping the family to repair their roof, and being a mentor to the little boy, and defending/trying to protect the boy from authorities. Zuko is rapidly gaining an ever-growing sense of right-and-wrong, with each passing episode. He is definitely NOT the person he once was. I think that point was made painfully and bluntly obvious in the show. Combined with the fact that he _might_ just get fed up with the frustration of "never being good enough for Dad", no matter what he does, and that Azula's always going to be one-step ahead of him, etc, Zuko MIGHT just switch sides on everybody, and team UP with Aang AGAINST his own Fire Nation in the end.... And he could be the one to teach Aang Firebending. It's not that inconceivable. In fact, it makes perfect sense. It's been done before, with awesome results: Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver) betraying his father Magneto and the rest of the Brotherhood, to join up with the Xmen; Jinx switching sides from bad to good in the Teen Titans TV series, etc. Zuko is about at the half-way mark right now, between the 'good' side and the 'bad' side. He's got MUCH more of a conscience now, than he had back in much of Season 1. I think it'd be really cool if it really DID turn out to be Zuko who was Aang's Firebending instructor, ^_^;; Also, on the topic of 'who will teach Aang firebending'... no, I haven't forgotten about Jeong-Jeong... Yes, he did teach Aang some firebending, (enough that Aang was soon gleefully tossing around fireballs...). But I don't really consider him "THE INSTRUCTOR" who was meant to teach Aang firebending... Jeong-Jeong was barely in half an episode, and the last we saw him, he'd vanished into thin air (a.k.a. the woods?) |
