    im saying that if a fire bender fires a fire ball at you...and if you airbend.....it will disappear into oblivion...ahha.....ya...thats how it is in avatar.....cuz in sozins comet part 1.....when zuko is attacking aang....aang airbends fire that is burning the walls, floors, and cweiling....and the fire goes away in that spot where aang airbended.....but....think about it.....how do you BLOW out a candle.....with air coming out of your mouth!!!! so why would it be different for airbending??? yes wind soemtimes and most of the times spreads fire....but if it was a powerful enough blow....im sure a fire ball would be extinguished

    no hes right air does eliminate fire

    It's that way in the show, I'm sure. It's just enough air will extinguish fire. You've blown out your birthday candles, right? It;s like that

    Of course, the opposite is true as well - most fireballs/lightning bolts will get rid of any Airbending quick smart.

    The Fire Natio has Azula Failing that they have Iroh If that's not enough they have Zuko There's so many awsome people in the FN - it must have something going for it

    Water because of it's versatility.

    It's the only element that you can use to pwn the sh*t out of things with, AND heal with.

    Yup! I'm a water fan, too! Its so graceful, and you can heal and bloodbend.

    I am stuck between Air and Water, With water you have Bloodbending, with Air you have flying. Umm.. i got to say flying beats Bloodbending so.. AIR! You can fly all the time, but you can only Bloodbend during the Full moon.

    True, but you can go underwater and 'pull a Moses' as many fans said during The Secret of the Fire Nation. And you can rise yourself in a jet of water like during the series premiere.

    Firebending, as defined in TFM, is the art of the manipulation of energy. Heat is energy, and therefore comes under Firebending too (check out what Firelord Sozin was able to do in "The Avatar and the Firelord").
