Another theory could be that Ozai killed Azulon and tried to blame it on Zuko. Ursa found out about it and took the blame, and thats where the scene comes up that she tells Zuko that everything that she does , she does because she loves him, and then she hears FN soldiers coming for her, and leaves the city and goes into hiding. But this is fully speculation. Would make an interesting plot twist though, and I know there are flaws with it, but thats how it is with every specualtion story

First flaw: no one would believe that Zuko could kill a turtle-duck, much less his grandfather.

no...I said Ozai's plan was to frame Zuko for Azulon's death. no where in there did I metion Zuko assasinated his own mother *Gasp* (although that's another interesting plot twist.. )
and regardless of what the rest of the FN soldiers thought of Zuko's ability, they could not question the will of the Hier to the throne of Fire Lord, so if Ozai said a turtle-duck killed Azulon, then guessed what? a turtle-duck did, dangnabit!

I believe Zuko's mother got it from Azula that Azulon was planning on having Zuko murdered and then killed Azulon herself before leaving. I believe she is still alive and out there somewhere...

Azulon demanded that Ozai would kill his daughter(Ozai cares more about his daughter, doesn't think highly of Zuko)so it would equal the hurt of Iroh for losing his son

Azula "lied" by mixing truth with lies, and told Zuko was the one who Ozai had to kill

either Ozai or Azula killed 2 birds with one stone by killing Azulon, as that would prevent the killing of Azula and also would conveniently make it possible for Ozai to take Lordship of FN

Ursa left, and was not killed, but had to promise not to contact Zuko, and Zuko had to believe she was dead

At this point is the U.S. we know that princess Ursa is the grandaughter of Avatar Roku, and that FL Sosin let Roku die in the volcanic explosion of his island, and happily went conquering the world. So it is quite possible that Ursa is a firebender, but got caught up in the mommy track. It also gives us a clue as to where or who she ran off to. The timeing of Azulons death remains highly suspect. If there is an approaching time limit as to how long to wait before someone is declared legally dead. it should be interesting to see wheather Orzai remarries, and to who.

My theory is that she's a lettuce seller in the firenation. Sadly lettuce is loved as much as cabbages. Eventually she managed to find an underground fire nation veggies market and that's how she joined the white lotus.

Well in the ep of the eciles Ozai is forced to tell to Zuko what happend to his mommy. He says that Azulon his father told him that as a punisment Ozai had to kill his son, but Usila found out about this and she didn't want this to happen so she went to Ozai and thought up a plan that would make him firelord but she had to do unthinkable things, things for what she had to be banished(probably kill Azulon). Well Zuko's reponds on this is story is 'so she could still be alive!'.

My theory is one that Ursa is still alive unless she died after she left. two maybe Ozai found out who Ursa's parents were andbanished or killed her? If the first child is suppose to die then did Iroh and Ozai have a older brother. In the episode the day of Black Sun, Ozai tells Zuko about what happen with Zuko's mom. Ozai says the Azulon wanted to kill Zuko so she killed Azulon so that Zuko would be safe and Ozai would become the next Firelord. But sometime after Ursa left, Ozai fights Zuko in a Agni Kai, but wait if Ozai won wouldn't he suppose to leave or did he stay because he is the Firelord?

Yes, I was the day of black sun episode. In the true Dale Carnegie spirit of never letting harsh words fall from one lips:
Neither Orzai nor Azula are accurate sources of information. Orzai was playing his son (my nation right or especially wrong) then tried to kill him when he didn't take the bait. Again, Azula played Sokka with nonsense about Suki to buy for time. Time will tell what really happened.
Poster 132 is rather disturbing.
