Toph has learned interpersonal skills. She has been taught how to act around people, but she doesn't know how to open up to others. She is a noble and has learned the requisite skills. She even said so in "City of Walls and Secrets." Toph learned the social graces and chose to ignore them. Toph also has to have interpersonal skills since she has been able to fool her parents and Master Yu into thinking she had little skills in earthbending and was no more than a frail blind girl. She also had to talk to Xin Fu to become a competitor in the Earth Rumbles. And she developed her trash talking. She played the scam artist, and that requires knowing how others expect a blind girl to act. And she was perceptive in seeing that Iroh needed Zuko as well.

How does this support your point? Your point is more towards Toph being socially inept. My point here is that Toph has learned to interact with many people at a level beyond her age. The wrestlers treat her as an equal, which means they view her her abilities and attitudes approaching their own. Instead of treating her as a child, they treat her almost like an adult. Even the comment by the Boulder about fighting a little girl can be seen as more of a trash talking thing than anything since he would have to respect her skills since she's the reigning champion. I think she was undefeated as well. The only valid point you've made so far is that Sokka is in a relationship with Suki.

I'm one of those odd people. I really don't care who gets together, I just want it to make sense if or when it does. I believe Tokka has the potential to happen, but it's still just Toph having an unrequited crush right now. I also dislike the use of flimsy arguments to support your opinion in the same way I dislike when people will provide false information to new people in the guise of truth. The real world doesn't allow you to get away with poor logic, so I don't see any reason the electronic one should either.
