    I haven't read the book either, and the episodes will definitely be more epic than the book, but I don't believe anything in the book is gonna be contradicted, but we'll see.

    Exactly. I've heard that the book for CoD was horribly lame too, but the real thing turned out to be awesome. So I'm not discouraged. I'm sure that whatever happens will be epic.

    I compare the book and the series finale to the spoilers for the Lost finale and the lost finale spoilers. They were incredibly lame on paper but everything was executed so brilliantly the finale was awesome.

    the book is adapted by some guy named david bergantino. if u search him up, he has nothing to do with avatar. it's just a book about the comet and wut he says happens. that's my guess. a lot of people who read it said it was lame and a lot of questions were unanswered. anyways, i trust the episodes more than the book. there r tons of avatar books.

    Aside from the fact that it was officially released by Nick. True the book probably sucks, and is probably a horrible adaption, but it's an adaption nonetheless and the contents of the book will happen in the finale.

    that's really weird. y would nick release something before it airs? nick is so careful not to release any spoilers, but then bam! this book is being sold to the public for all eyes to see. isn't this bad for avatar since people will already know wut happens?

    Listen, you guys are making out that releasing the finale in a book was a strange and stupid thing to do (which it was in the case of avatar) but the reality of the matter is that it is common practice to release a novelization of a movie several months prior to the actual movie coming out. They did it for Star Wars. They did it for Spiderman, Batman, X-Men, and all those other superhero flicks. Movies like the Lord of the Rings and Eragon which already had books had new editions published with covers that had pictures from the movies on them, as well as several pages of pictures from the movies in the center of the book.

    We all hate the idea that any novelization of avatar would be as lame as "Sozin's Comet" was, but at the same time, it should be remembered that the only other show on Nick that has ever recieved this kind of treatment is Spongebob. It's kind of flattering that Nick think ATLA deserves this kind of treatment, but alas, as always, they have managed to screw it up.

    Back on topic, it's fairly clear that this will be the episode that detrmines what direction Zuko and Katara's relationship takes from now.

    Only 2 hours and 42 minutes left!

    Originally the finale was suppose to come out a week or two before the book, but for some reason it got delayed and the book ended up getting released.

    What hurt the Zutarians wasn't so much the book , the book left big holes in the story. What hurt so much was the interview with Mike and Bryan.

    The Ember Island Players commercial didn't make me lose my hopes of Kataang. All it said was Katara just didn't think it was the right time to be together.

    Are you KIDDING? You think it made me LOSE hope??? I'm full of hope!!! She said "it's not the right time". She didn't say, "I'm sorry Aang, but I just love you as a friend" or "I don't feel that way about you" -- she said it wasn't the right time for them to be together! That must mean she loves him back. God, just that tiny little bit of diologue was SO emotional. And if Aang is willing to say "I thought we were going to be together", there MUST be something that triggers it. He wouldn't just randomly say that. And I don't think it's just the kiss. He wouldn't just randomly kiss her and then say, "wait a second, I thought you loved me". He doesn't seem that sure about her feelings. So I'm thinking something else must have happened. Something that would tell Aang that she does love him back so he'd be able to say something like that.
