Rockon45, I remember Katara getting really insulted after Aang said he didn't want to kiss her, and she was like "wait, why am i getting so worked up about this?" She says in "city of walls and secret", "I can't wait for Aang to see me dressed up like this. I wonder what he'll say." And then after he says she looks beautiful she says "Oh my gosh is he blushing, wait i think i am too. Ok. calm down katara, so he said you looked pretty so what. He just isn;t used to seeing you like this, it'll pass..... Also, at the end of the erath king, she suspects that aang is going to tell her he's in love with her, and she thinks "I mean, I love Aang as a.... as a...." and then Sokka interupts. I suggest you get the book though, it is really interesting.

Oh. My. God. WHERE on Earth can I buy this?!? I must have it!!! (Or, if it's possible, find free excerpts somewhere on the web? I'm kinda broke....) I NEED DETAILS! *twitch*

Ugh. Unfortunately there aren't any B&N in ANY of the suburbs I live nearby...the closest one I know of is in Atlanta, which is like 45 mins away and I really doubt my parents are going to be willing to drive me to the city for an Avatar book. And I think my mom would probably feel that way about me using her credit card on the web for that purpose too....

Is there anywhere on the web I can read it...?

back to what someone said before - Bryke can't confirm the books as canon/non-canon because that would tell us the final ship (kataang if canon, zutara if non-canon by default (if she doesn't like Aang, she likes Zuko)). As you guys frequently use the argument that they are only delaying kataang to draw out the kataang vs zutara battle as long as possible, I'm using it here to explain why those books can't be confirmed or denied as canon. It would just give the ending away by confirming/denying if katara likes aang.

However, if it does end up Kataang, I'll have a bone to pick with the creators. Why not have a pro-kataang scene in the trailer too? It would make so much more sense....and zutarians would still be happy with the pro-zutara stuff we had. So its not like a pro-kataang scene would wreck the ending/the build-up of katara's choice. Oh well, who knows how Bryke think?

Because they probably already know that Zutarians have been harping and whining, and that Kataangers have been harping and whining, so if they made it pro Zutara it would satisfy zutarians and Kataangers would be more alright with it since there's already so much canon evidence for their ship, as opposed to us.
    But that's just me.

they can easily say "the book is the view of the author, but it might or might not be what we envision for our characters, you will have to see the finale to find out what the truth is of their thoughts" ambiguous yet at same time let us know that the diaries might not be 100% accurate

    Zutara *stays put*

And wiselad, if that's what they would say, they might as well say nothing. It has the same affect - silence can be interpreted either way as well.

but silence can be interpreted as "the only answer can be yes" but they don't want to say it for obvious reasons

if they said simply "the book is not canon" some can say "all of it are lies"(the thoughts), some can say "some of the thoughts are true but not all of them" and some can say "the thoughts can be mostly true just by coincidence ,they are only what the author of book saw as the character's thoughts, but bryke never told the author what exactly was their plans for the characters"

But its Bryke, and they love to mess with us. So they will leave it in silence for kataangers to cheer over, and zutarians to stress over. All the while secretely standing over to one side rubbing their hands together and plotting the doom of us all.

Which I also wouldn't put past them.

Zutara! ...isn't canon. (Edit: As of now, at least. Actually, after I thought about it, I liked the idea of Zutara getting in the way of Kataang, and then the show switches back to Kataang in the end. You see, I used to hate Zutara because of all the superficial stuff I saw associated with it, but then I developed an appreciation for fanon Zutara when I saw people with intelligent views on it.) If Kataang has to deal with the same "it's only-half canon" stuff, then the same goes for Zutara because one hug doesn't make the ship canon because then other characters in the show would be ships. -is just tired of Zutarian double-standards

Bryke is capatalizing on this unforseen war between these two very interesting ships. Their trailer for the rest of season 3 was a genious move. I hope they are prepared for the angry mob when the winner becomes clear.

all ship set double standards. that's why kataangers have gotten away with calling the vaguest and most ambigious of kataang interactions "proof" while calling zutarians crazy whenever we would point out any bit of circumstantial evidence. only george is canon.

mike and brian are a couple of sadists, but i can't blame them. if i had a show with a rabid shipping fanbase, i'd probably torture the hell out of them too.

    Kataang's already happened:

How 'vague' is that. Why do you still deny it? Have you taken your anti-psychotics yet?
