    I have a question. Is Katara's/Sokka's mother a waterbender or no? Because if the answer is no, then maybe bending depends on something else, or one of their ancestors could, and maybe only some of them got the ability to waterbend or something.

    Give me a break! I'm a big fan of the oriant and that's exactly how they would end it! Aang is a very delicit charicter who's what, 12!     I was always under the assumption that the Avatar was born into a line of benders. I thought he was more or less reincarnated and not passed down through birth.

    Yeah Avatars work that way it is a line of Avatars. Aang(Airbender)Rokue(Firebending)......not sure after that but I think a waterbending Avatar is next.

    So is there any word on if there will be more avatar?

    All that i've heard is that the story is for sure done with Aang and Zuko.

    apparently, the story with all the characters present ( except maybe some really minor characters) is done. so if they were toi do another avatar, it would be a new cast. the storis of the GAang are done.

    did anyone notice how close the comet passed to the avatar world, i mean it pushed away the clouds in the air.
