FINALLY!!!!! IT TOOK TWO FRIGGIN' DAYS JUST TO CATCH UP WITH YOU GUYS, AND MOST OF THE PAGES ARE THINGS ONLY SAID IN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS!!!! [pant, twitch, pant, twitch, regains composure] Ahem, anyway, I'm surprised I'm the first one to mention it amongst 3481 posts, but towards the end of the Aang/Ozai battle, Aang "sees" Ozai preparing to strike him from behind with "Toph vision!"

"Team Avatar is back! Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Fan, and Sword!" I loved that part. Not only does Sokka name the elements in Avatar Cycle order, but the "fan and sword" part reminded me of "Bending Battle" where Sokka tries using "boomerang" as an element. Plus, Sokka's still using "Team Avatar," even though Katara told him it wasn't going to catch on! XD

[shamelessly copying this paragraph from the relationship discussion thread] Quite honestly, I like how it all ended. Aang and Zuko got their girls, Iroh got his tea shop back, Bumi made a big impression with his comeback, Ty Lee got a happy ending, cute hug between Toph and The Duke, Zuko got to be Fire Lord, Ozai was defeated without dying, in fact nobody died, and all the gAang members got to have a great time in the re-opened tea shop. The only problems I have with the finale is that Sokka lost his space sword (though, there's always a slight chance that he could've retrieved it again later on), we still don't know where Fire Lady Ursa is, we didn't get to see the remaining Freedom Fighters (or even The Duke and Pipsqueak) reunited, and we still don't know if the Bei Fong family ever patched up their relationship.

[just remembers he had a whole bunch of quotes throughout the thousands of pages on clipboard until he just threw it all away, he he smacks himself with disbleif]

ozai could've easily killed aang when he was in the water. ozai could've shot lightning into the water

also when aang's in the AS and in his sphere of elements it sort of sounds like a star wars speeder

I have a question. Is Katara's/Sokka's mother a waterbender or no? Because if the answer is no, then maybe bending depends on something else, or one of their ancestors could, and maybe only some of them got the ability to waterbend or something.

That's a good point...I don't think Katara's mom was a wtaerbender, she just said she was to protect Katara. That means that both there parents were not waterbenders...so maybe he has something to do with ancestory, or maybe its jus random...who knows

I KNEW IT!!! So it IS possible for earthbenders to learn to metalbend then. If Aang was able to sense the vibrations in the grund, then he can also sense the refined earth in metal!!! Also, if waterbenders have the moon, and the firebenders have the sun and sozin's comet, what do earth and airbenders have???

I don't see how there can be new charaters. The flyer that was shown still showed the main characters. This series is for young kids making completly new characters would just confuse them or make them less interested. Even though it said the end does not mean much. If not anything else there should be at the least be a movie. Just because it said the end might mean that the book series is over but little mini series can be made and so can movies.Gaang is still not a master of all elements in the finale he still wasn't ready to fight, the only reason he won was because of the Avatar state.I think if the same characters were to stay they would be ;ole five or so years older where maybe the fire nation is trying to take over again(Azula can be a big factor).

The reason why the earth and air benders don't have anything like the sun and the moon is because there arent any inanimate objects that enhances the bending. As you most likely know the original earth and air benders were the sky bison and the badger moles, and thats how the bending was passed down to the humans. Sure the dragons were the first fire benders, but the sun (which is made of fire lol) enhances it.

I myself enjoyed the finale very much, but like other friends of mine, i wonder if there will be a later episode that shows the results of aangs, and zukos decisions to help shape the new world. Also, hopefully it would show if zuko ever gets to meet his mother lol.

i got so mad when like 5 minutes into aang and ozais' battle, aang could have just finished him off rite then and there with the lightning, but he couldnt. i got so mad, but then again it was awesomeer seeing aang use the "toph-vision" and like trapping ozai while the camera is spinning and really dramatic music is playing. and it was cooler to see ozai lose his firebending and the n have to spend the rest of his life as a prisoner. im starting to wonder if they just left azula where she was after katara chained her up because she was probably going to kill herself once she got into prison anyways. it wa skinda a appropriate ending for azula since i cant realli see her actually dying in battle. and as if we all didnt know that she was going to go insane sumtime in her life.

I don't think they will. I think they all just live happily ever after. Zuko said he was going to rebuild it with peace and love right? so how can that fail? lol Isn't that an amazing ending. I was so excited i thought someone was going to die but they didn't and i was so relieved. lol But it would be awesome if they did make new ones showing how everything turned out. I'd like that. I still can't believe it's over. lol

That was strange to me, how exactly did the Fire Nation eradicate the Air Nomads in one night?
