Ok, so even if the other avatars weren't "worthy" what about the other air nomads who had achieved a state of inner enlightenment or whatever the Air Avatar said? They were more spiritually enlightened than Aang and yet the turtle didn't appear to them. Also, the turtle didn't "reveal" himself to Aang, Aang had to 1. swim onto him, 2. spend (2?) days just wondering what he was doing, and 3. swim around to find its head.
The turtle might've appeared to past Avatars. We only went back four generations. Aang was possessed. He didn't know where he was. The turtle brought him there.

maybe he went to the turtle subconciously cuz he was so stressed about if he should kill the firelord or not....

Then his body wouldn't have left the house.

Yes it would've. Subconciously means he was in a trance which he was. The turtle lion did somewhat appear to Aang, and it drew him to it through a force Aang wasn't aware of.

I'm not really sure about this, but can you do something subconciously when you're not awake? Because I don't think Aang was really all there when he swam to the turtle.

You can do something subconciously when you're not awake. Dream, sleep walk, or in this case go to giant lion-turtles =D

I'm pretty sure the lion-turtle had him in some kind of hyptnotic trance.

Anyone who didn't enjoy this finale is either:

A fan who craves more closure.

    A dissatisfied shipper.

    An Azula.

Though there are plenty of important unanswered ? and loose ends, that just means there's more room for a continuation of some kind and in no way should it subtract from the enjoyment of the finale. I would, however, like a more detailed explanation of how Aang entered the AS, but that will most likely be explained in the DVD commentary, as well as an elaboration on Ursa's current situation. Hopefully.

Shippers and Azulas...I got nothing. Either you liked it or you didn't and nothing I say is gonna change your mind.

Huh, I thought it was a given that that lion-turtle specifically called Aang there. I mean it didn't just happen to show up outta nowhere.

doh! How did I miss that!

I might not have advice for the shippers and Azulas out there, but Naruto fans I do:

    stfu and gtfo.

That goes for any anime elitists as well.

I know how aang entered the AS.....first his charka wasnt blocked by the earthly attachment t katara cuz he already did that at ba sing se....it wus blocked by a physical barrier which wus from the lightning when azula hit him..which is why the cosmic energy wouldnt flow....well when his scar hit the rock it triggered the avatar state and reopened the charka and the cosmis enegry flowed causing him to be able to enter the avatar state..

I just saw it a while ago...man, that was the most epic thing I have ever seen. If the movies are even half as epic as that, I will be happy.

    Dang.

...did anyone else feel kinda bad for Ozai when he was running away from AS Aang? I did. XP
