Yeah, there were so many parts of the show, where they could have made it soooooo much better, but it wouldn't be "kid appropriate."

But you must admit it even kinda pushed the boundary of a kids show... Some people did die like Jet and General Zhao (who even died on screen!) But yea we could have had much more potential if it wasn't Nick... a lot more blood for sure.
Speaking of zhao..didnt aang KILL zhao?!?!?! Even if he was in the avatar state, no one thought it was wierd that he killed him? When aang is in the avatar state he isnt even that much of a threat...so I didn't see the point in that. And the way he died wasn't even graphis, im assuming that he drowned since aang pulled him into the water with him...idk. im confused and i hope everything is explained in the continuation of the show. ALL SHALL BE REVIELED ON JULY 24th!!!!
I think the ocean spirit killed Zhao. But I'm not sure, I don't remember clearly. I do remember someone having a debate about this. I'll have to rewatch the episode later.

that would have been really juicy and a little bit mature for the kiddies, sheesh. But I wonder who it could be. Aang, no way 'cause he's Aang, the peace man. Toph, she's blind, point taken. It would have to be either Suki or Zuko, not Katara, 'cuase she's goody goody girl.

Ohhh but katara had so much potential to be a more dark and mature character. Remember how she got all evil and devolved and only wanted revenge? They could have kept her kinda dark. It woudl have worked. Yeah and the fight scenes werer good as they are.

good point I'm not sure if Katara would have done the horizontal polka with Zuko or Aang 'cause Aang=pureness maybe Zuko, but she still was untrustful of him back then when they went on the mission.

1). giant turtle bending, although awesome, was an easy way out so the writers didn't have to develope any sort of GOOD ending

2). the fight scene was freaking awesome. the battling colors=great cinamotogrophy (or drawing i guess) on behalf of whoever is in charge of the creative stuff

3). Zuko got distracted when he saw Katara, and didn't have time to focuz on redirecting it and just took the hit. It shout up to show that he couldm't redirect it. Hey it had to go somewhere? It couldn't just dissolve into his body.

4). It don't think it's retarted because Zuko's character is an anti-vigilant. So he doesn't struggle with stupid stupid morals like Aang.

5). Aang's character is just soooo very lame. But hey, it's a kid's show.

    1. I don't think that about the lion-turtle. I think it was a creative way to solve the problem.

    2. I agree. It was stunning.

    3. No, Zuko took the hit from Katara. There was no time to redirect it, and he knew that. He just flew in between Katara and the lightening. And I believe he redirected some of it. There was a brief scene of lightening in the sky.

    5. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Aang is his own person. He basically follows the religious path of Buddhists and other things related to that. He is not lame. He has a clear cut vision of what he wants, it just takes him a while to figure out how to get there. He's funny, careless (at times) yet VERY caring, loving, young, and innocent. He's very relatable and I think that makes him a top notch character.

I agree with number 4. that makes sense.

But my problem with Aang, although he's just so endearing, he's unrealistic. NO ONE IS THAT PURE.

Have you ever met a monk?

Actually yeah. One time at an icecream place. They were all calm and peaceful I know, but it seems like brainwashing to me.

I definitely think they should've made her darker. Her mother was killed! She should be more violent towards the Fire Nation. I don't know if anyone reads Pendragon, but I wish she was more like Spader towards Saint Dane. I know, I'm really cool for reading the series But once I start I just can't stop.

If you really think about, Aang almost gave up his life by trying to use the new soul-bending technique. If he wasn't so COMPLETELY pure, then he would've been destroyed. Or turned into an evil side kick He risked his life, and the life of his friends, to help conquer Ozai. I think that's giving up enough. But that's kind of why I wanted Toph to die. It would seem like the stakes were much greater.

So then that means that Ozai must have SOME good in him...? Think about it...if Ozai was COMPLETE evil then they both would have been at a stalemate, but Aang barely over powerd him, so there must have been some good in him, making his energy bendable. Aangs wasnt bendable because he was COMPLETELY pure. And being the avatar has nothing to do with it because even the giant turtle warned him about using it, so obviously there were some risks.

The lion-turtle just said that no matter how tainted a soul may be, if you're pure it shouldn't matter. So the fact that Aang triumphed doesn't prove that Ozai has some good in him. I'm sure he does, everyone does. Yin and Yang blah blah blah. But we can't prove that. There's no evidence saying that it would've been a stale mate.

That's my point. They could;ve taken it much farther. I wish they would've had about ten more episodes that were used to elongate things like that. I would've liked at least two episodes more basically dedicated to Katara's darker side.

Any answers for the above question?!?!?!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The lion-turtle just said that no matter how tainted a soul may be, if you're pure it shouldn't matter. So the fact that Aang triumphed doesn't prove that Ozai has some good in him. I'm sure he does, everyone does. Yin and Yang blah blah blah. But we can't prove that. There's no evidence saying that it would've been a stale mate.

So I guess that means that all the "naughty" things like hiding the letter sokka's dad's sent to them almost got him killed.

Good point. Her mother was killed and she was improsined and family-less and starving and mistreated. It was actually unrealistic for her "breakdown" to be so civil!!!!!!!!!!

That's my point. They could;ve taken it much farther. I wish they would've had about ten more episodes that were used to elongate things like that. I would've liked at least two episodes more basically dedicated to Katara's darker side.

    If only.... =[

Actually yeah. One time at an icecream place. They were all calm and peaceful I know, but it seems like brainwashing to me.

That's an opinion. The fact is, whether it's brainwashing or not, THEY are pure. They are whole and good and balanced. At least, Aang is

I know, but I think humans naturally strive on suffering. You know, we can't live without conflict.
